Simone Baitey is a Minister In

lism ministries as the Executive

Leader, Dance Outreach Coor-
dinator and Choreogra-
pher. She began a Community
Health and Dance (CHAD) class
in Morristown and chairing the
Northern NJ Chapter of the Na-
tional Liturgical Dance Network
(NLDN), which trains and unifies
worshipers in sacred dance in-
ternationally, in 2010. She has
served as the Youth Minister at
Mt. Zion Baptist Church in
Boonton where she lead with a
focus on liberation theology and
embodied Word. MIT Baitey
was appointed the Drew Theo-
logical School’s Arts Intern for
the 2014-2015 year, and served
her second term as an officer of
the Black Ministerial Caucus.
She was awarded the Fellow-
ship Seminarian Award for out-
standing worship arts ministry
and the BMC was recognized
both terms for excellence in
community outreach and pro-

dance ministers and other seminarians co-teach classical dance, bible studies, ministry best practices and bible
based choreography for community worshipers and seminarians.

 Planned and taught weekly Church School lessons with Church School Superintendent and staff.
 Planned and preached weekly Children’s Church worship experiences with the Youth Minister.
 Grew youth liturgical dance ministry from inception to membership of 31 in one year. Designed the minis-
try, planned and choreographed and taught dances for monthly worship on Sundays and all church special
worship services, events, as well as, outreach events.

 Planned the Pastor’s first Anniversary with the Pastor. Assisted in planning order of service, communi-
