Simon is a Senior Electrical Engineer with over 9 years of experience in the railway industry. He specialises in

o 3rd and 4th conductor rail gapping analysis for new main-line and depot track configurations.
• Senior Electrical Engineer on UK southern region substations. This includes:
o Renewal of HV feeder cables and associated HV unit protection circuit;
o HV feeder ‘solid’ and oil-filled cable insertions as part railway structure improvement projects;
o Pilot cable renewals and insertions;
o Substation earthing renewal projects to convert UK southern region substations from ‘hot’ to ‘cold’
sites.
• Electrical Engineer for LV ‘small’ power supplies including:

o Platform and walkway lighting equipment;
