2. Concept
 web search engine is a software system that is
designed to search for information on the World Wide
Web.
 Some common search engines are:
 Ask
 Bing
 Blekko
 Dogpile
 DuckDuckGo
 Google
 Yahoo

3. Questions
 Are you unfamiliar or familiar with the Internet?
 Do you know how to make a successful search on the
Internet?
 Do you know if there are any specific “tips” when
searching on the web?

4. Steps
 Find the right search engine
 Type in your search as accurately as possible by
using the appropriate title
 Browse through the results to find the one you want
 Choose a few of the most specific or relevant
keywords or phrases to describe your topic.

5.  You can use synonyms
 Type your choice of words into the Search Bar
offered by your chosen search engine.
 Generally, capitalization and punctuation are not
needed.
 Search engines usually disregard minor words such
as "the, and, to, etc."

6. Use the Search tools SECOND BAR to expand your search

7. Use the THIRD bar of tools to find more specific information
Such as: Type / face, photo, clip art, line drawing, etc. etc.

8. You can use the “camera” icon to upload an image you want
to find

9. Use the “web” option when looking for text or general
information on a topic.

10. Use the options for images, such as: Color /black and white,
colors, transparent, full colors, etc.

11. Use the “video” search tools to find different Quality on
duration video. Verify all the options provided by the video
search THIRD TOOL BAR.
