 RFID and NFC technology implemented in contactless
payments.
 Extensive E-commerce internet network distributed with
max. usage.
 Bulgaria claimed the third highest speed of Internet -
1,611KBps8 (Pando Networks, 2011). The high speed of
Internet could be assumed as a driver for internet use and
ICT RTDI development.

10. ENVIRONMENTAL
 Enhance producer responsibility scheme EPR for waste
management.
 At the end of 2015 there were 1,012 protected areas,
covering 584,530 ha, with extensive 52.6% land areas in
agricultural use and under forest.
 NDP programme BG 2020 strenghthening the legal
framework towards green economy.
 Water pollution tax, WWTp, WMS has been sustaining the
green environment with the considerable reduction in
wastage achieving target efficiency.
