I am currently looking for a new career opportunity. Please take a quick peek at what I've been up to for the past 20+ years. If you think I might be a good fit for your organization, give me a call or email me. I would love the opportunity to talk about all I have to offer you. Thank you!

1. Hi! I’m Rita Roberts M.! Nice to meet you!
I would like to take you on a trip through my career to demonstrate
the value I can bring to your organization. Thank you in advance for
your time and patience!
2. I moved to Utah in 1996 from Santander,
Spain after having lived there for seven
months.
From
3. Just before that, I graduated from
Appalachian State University in NC with a
BA in History and Spanish.
4. Spain was in a recession and I knew that
if I worked smart, I could do so much
better in the US.
5. Within two years of moving to
Utah, I started my own
mortgage company.
6. I learned so much from starting my first company, but the
success of my second company, Amigo Travel, was
overwhelming. When I sold my 50% interest in the company
10 years later, our revenue was over $10 million dollars
annually and we had 30 employees.
7. In October 2008 I started Sheer
Ambrosia, my baklava bakery from home.
8. In 2010, I was asked to make the
baklava for the SLC Greek Festival.
I made 13,440 pieces of baklava that year
just for the festival!
9. In 2013 I had enough business to move Sheer Ambrosia into a
commercial space. I gutted an old hair salon and built a
commercial kitchen and store front.
10. It took a lot of hard work and effort
to create the space I wanted.
14. I sampled my baklava all over the Salt Lake Valley and grew my
wholesale business. Pretty soon I was in two grocery store
chains, several other restaurants and fast food chains.
18. I ran Sheer Ambrosia from my commercial space for 3 more years and while I was
working long hours in the bakery I decided to fulfill my dream of writing a book. I
wrote a memoir about my journey from marriage to divorce and how I came out the
other end a happier, healthier person.
19. After getting tons of positive feedback about the book from lots of
divorced women, I decided to get my certification to become a
Divorce Coach.
20. Empowering women especially through the difficult process of divorce
and reinventing themselves afterward, as I did myself, is a project that my
heart has been in since my own divorce 15 years ago.

21. So WHY am I looking for a job now you might be wondering?
Well, my children are older, my son is a sophomore in college and
my daughter (in a couple of years) is well on her way to her own
university dreams.
22. Entrepreneurship has served our family well during my children’s
formative years but now it’s time for me to spread my wings and
launch my career in a bigger pond. The real question now
is…whose pond will it be?
23. Hopefully I have demonstrated in this presentation that I am a creative
trailblazer, a hard worker, and an even stronger communicator. I build
enduring, effective relationships with folks in the community, and I
specialize in finding innovative solutions to the toughest problems. I
speak English and Spanish and I can bring a real lasting and positive
impact to your organization.
