2. Hello, my name is Shubh Shah. This PowerPoint presentation resumes my life so far. It
has many sections to it, including my birth and who I am now. My life has been okay but I
have had to go through many obstacles such as: moving from India to Togo, then studying
in a bilingual school and being the alone at various points in life (school, home, no
friends). However, this life so far has taught me many things such as ; be there for
yourself, adapt to the nearby environment. Almost all my friends today are not from India
or nearby. Honestly, I find it easier to live in an International community then to live in an
Indian community because everyone feels easier to share, many different cultures and
point of views are explored by everyone. That is why I love living out of India, but I also
love India.
3. I am an African
Not because I’m black.
But because my heart warms
And tears run down my face
When I think about AFRICA.
I am an African,
Not because I live here,
But because the African
Sun lit my paths.
Because the air that I breathe
Is from these majestic mountains.
That air nurtured me
growing up.
I am an African,
Not because I can speak
Swahili, Shona, Zulu or Xhosa.
But because my heart is
shaped like a question mark,
Just like AFRICA.
I am an African,
Not because I am black,
But because my umbilical cord
Is buried under the majestic
Mountains of AFRICA.
