WHY PROTEIN MATRIX?

4. Protein Matrix products react with fat, oil and grease
in pipes, sewers, grease traps, interceptors and lift
stations to create a environmentally-benign
byproduct that is compatible with sewage water
treatment system infrastructure and processes.

HOW IT WORKS

5. The proteins and peptides found in Protein Matrix
IGR disrupt the intermolecular forces between FOG
molecules, minimizing the formation of large, solid
blocks of fat.

6. Protein Matrix IGR converts FOG into a flowable and
environmentally-benign product.This flowable
byproduct is non-foaming, will never re-agglomerate,
and is more easily digested by wastewater treatment
plant organisms.

7. Unlike traditional degreasing products, which can
have a detrimental effect on waste water purification
system infrastructure and biota, Protein Matrix IGR-
treated FOG does not pose a problem for Wastewater
Treatment Plants (WWTP). This is because FOG
particles are broken and more easily digested by
microorganisms during the treatment process. .
