he Indian e-commerce
Tindustry has been on an
upward growth trajectory and
is expected to surpass the US to
become the second largest E-
commerce market in the world by
2034. India's e-commerce sector
will reach US$99 billion by 2024
from US$30 billion in 2019,
expanding at a 27% CAGR, with
grocery and fashion/apparel likely to
be the key drivers of incremental
growth.
The Indian e-commerce sector is
ranked 9th in cross-border growth
in the world, according to an
independent research report. Indian
e-commerce is projected to increase
from 4% of the total food and
grocery, apparel, and consumer
electronics retail trade in 2020 to
8% by 2025. As most Indians have
started shopping online rather than
stepping outside their houses, the
Indian e-commerce sector
witnessed an increase.
Also, as per an independent survey
report, ~96% consumers have tried
a new shopping behaviour; ~60%
consumers are expected to shift to
online shopping in the festive
season and continue shopping
online beyond the COVID-19
pandemic. These statistics show
how the Indian e-commerce space is
on the growth curve lately. Riding
this rising wave there is one

The journey of Dr. Neeraj has been
filled with quite the challenges. He
discusses some of the recent ones
with us at Insights Success. During
the Pandemic, when everyone was
locked and covid was at its peak, his
own parents were infected, and they
went through a very rough patch.
Having a doctor at home saved lives.
Everything was closely monitored
post covid to ensure their wellbeing.
Having to set an example in his own
house, he went on to do more
research and find ways to help the
people to procure safe and hygienic
food to build their immune system.
“We can't protect the world, but we
can take precautionary measures to
support with small efforts and stand by
each other,” says Dr. Neeraj.
The idea grew over the rough times
and they tried to connect a lot of
dots and vacuums in the food sector
to bring the best of quality and
hygienic food to every plate. His
team acknowledges that they have a
robust system that any person can
track their food and also know the
methodology of preparing the food
based on their health parameters.
“Our technology drives the sector, as of
now we have ventured win the meat
industry, in future we want to expand
to other food products as well, we will
make our product SAAS model so
everyone can use and be benefitted
with the solution,” says the team of
Maas Stores.

For livestock, it tracks a trace from
birth till the delivery to its
customers.
Procurement and maintaining the
hygiene was one of the most
challenging issues the team at Maas
Stores had. There were smaller
issues where the team pioneered in
though they faced smaller
challenges. Mutton and chicken's
life cycle is very low, so the team had
to figure out a way to maintain the
freshness. Talking about the big
picture, initially they had planned to
venture into B2C sector.
Later, after understanding the
market and behavior of consumers,
the team opted to reach the masses
through B2B2C channel which
enabled them with better insights of
the market. “We are in the middle of
our operations in Bangalore, we will
launch B2B in New Delhi, Hyderabad,
and Chennai in the coming 3 to 6
months, and B2C with a target to have
50 of our own stores in by the end of
2021,” says Dr. Neeraj.
In a conclusive statement, the trio
states, “The growth is endless! All the
major companies combined has
reached out to max 12% of market
share. We have good expansion
opportunity and not only with the
remaining market share but also within
the 12% of the catered consumers.”

business is B2B.
As younger generation is stepping its foot into business, the
e-commerce is flying higher. According to a report, more
than half of the buyers are millennials. This shows that e-
commerce is a very important aspect now when it comes to
business.
2 ) B2C – Business to consumer
Transaction between business and an end customer is B2C.

or anything is a B2C transaction. B2C is easier because it
consults with the seller directly.
B2C just not include selling but also customer service.
Many B2C innovators have taken their business to
ecommerce where they can connect with the
customer/consumer directly. E-commerce has made it easy
because the businessman doesn’t have to market much in
B2C, and their life becomes easy.
3) C2B – Consumer to Business
C2B allows an individual to sell products to companies for
business. An individual that adds on to any business idea
for betterment is also C2B. For example, if you leave a
comment to a company an idea for development and that
company is using that idea in the business then it is
considered as C2B. App like OLX which allows individuals
to sell product to a company is C2B.
4) C2C – Customer to Customer
C2C is also known as an online market where consumers
are connected to sell products. A customer connects
customer on an online platform. C2C market got popularity
after the arrival of online platform like Etsy, eBay, and
craigslist.
The end result for e-commerce is success. There are so
many ways to connect with customers and businessman
which will add up to your growth. Having said that the

What would you give up to see your
dreams come true? What would you put

would have the daring or the self-belief
to be able to do that.

entrepreneur Gaurav Nikam did, he left

Technologies is a passionate entrepreneur
from Satara city. Born and brought up in
a farmer family in a small village of
Satara, Gaurav has 6+ years of
professional experience. A sales

The Indian e-commerce market has been
one of the biggest beneficiaries of the
pandemic; millions of buyers are feeling
more comfortable while shopping online.

What advice would you like to give to
young entrepreneurs and budding
professionals who want to step into the
leadership positions at their respective
workplaces?
There is so much to be done, just go out
and do it. Things will never be perfect, so

experience is the best teacher. You will
make mistakes, but in the end you will be
better than what you were earlier.
What does the future look like for the

expansion?
We are an ambitious company, 200%
YOY growth rate is what we are aiming
for. We aim to generate employment
opportunities for ambitious young
Indians. We are also looking forward to
expansion in new territories overseas.

of the Indian e-commerce space?
Indian e-Commerce Industry is showing
rapid growth and will surpass US to
become second largest e-commerce

According to Forrester Research, Indian
e-commerce sales rose by ~7-8% in

After finishing his education, he secured a job as a
Computer Science engineer at a globally reputed MNC.
While having a corporate job, Ravi always had a knack for
new technologies and the use of digitization in different
markets for increased traction.
While working as an engineer, he once came across an
article on Bloomberg about the rise of the e-commerce
industry. The industry and its scope fascinated him instantly
and he knew what his calling was. This made him enter the
world of e-commerce and digital marketing by freelancing
for a startup that dealt in cake and flower delivery.
His increasing fondness for e-commerce and his ability to
understand the pulse of the market made him quit his job
and assist online sellers to manage their ventures on
multiple platforms.

years' worth of experience with him.

  • 12. he Indian e-commerce Tindustry has been on an upward growth trajectory and is expected to surpass the US to become the second largest E- commerce market in the world by 2034. India's e-commerce sector will reach US$99 billion by 2024 from US$30 billion in 2019, expanding at a 27% CAGR, with grocery and fashion/apparel likely to be the key drivers of incremental growth. The Indian e-commerce sector is ranked 9th in cross-border growth in the world, according to an independent research report. Indian e-commerce is projected to increase from 4% of the total food and grocery, apparel, and consumer electronics retail trade in 2020 to 8% by 2025. As most Indians have started shopping online rather than stepping outside their houses, the Indian e-commerce sector witnessed an increase. Also, as per an independent survey report, ~96% consumers have tried a new shopping behaviour; ~60% consumers are expected to shift to online shopping in the festive season and continue shopping online beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. These statistics show how the Indian e-commerce space is on the growth curve lately. Having to set an example in his own house, he went on to do more research and find ways to help the people to procure safe and hygienic food to build their immune system. “We can't protect the world, but we can take precautionary measures to support with small efforts and stand by each other,” says Dr. Neeraj. The idea grew over the rough times and they tried to connect a lot of dots and vacuums in the food sector to bring the best of quality and hygienic food to every plate. His team acknowledges that they have a robust system that any person can track their food and also know the methodology of preparing the food based on their health parameters. “Our technology drives the sector, as of now we have ventured win the meat industry, in future we want to expand to other food products as well, we will make our product SAAS model so everyone can use and be benefitted with the solution,” says the team of Maas Stores.
