My passion for design grew out of a combination of: discovering theatre; performing in a youth dance-theatre
company; a voracious appetite for making things of all descriptions; and for dressing up and collecting
vintage clothing. Combining these with a strong interest in psychology and people, what excites me most
about theatrical design is not only the designing and making, but also the collaborative nature of the working
process. I have a special interest in working with unusual spaces, objects, fabrics and textures.
Key skills:
Creativity, I engage readily with the needs of each production, initiate, collaborate and realize designs.
Adaptability and Resourcefulness, I am flexible in my approach, applying creative practicality, to work
within and adjust to the demands of budgets and deadlines.
Communication, I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and contribute effectively to the team as a
whole. Have extensive experience managing teams and volunteers.
Technical knowledge, I have a good working knowledge of fabrics, pattern cutting and costume
construction. I have a wide range of skills and enjoy working with unusual materials. I always strive for
professional results.
