5. Elements I Intend To Use/Imitate
• I intend to use the matching colour schemes,
on the double page spread and the contents
page will be set in columns and the text must
never cover the main image. I will also put the
page numbers to different articles on the
contents page.
6. Front Cover Analysis
This magazine cover has a colour
scheme of Blue, Yellow and grey. For
the main image they have used a lead
singer of a band to attract attention
from readers, the singer is also
pointing his finger in an upwards
direction at the cover line of the
magazine, this is used to attract
attention to the cover line which is in
red to stand out from the other
taglines. The singer in the main image
is making eye contact with the camera
to also attract attention from the
audience. The skyline on the cover
advertises free music, posters and
stickers to persuade the audience to
purchase the magazine.
7. Contents Page Analysis
This contents page has the
title in the biggest font at the
top of the page. The colour
scheme for the contents page
is white, blue and brown. The
main image for the contents is
a lead singer from a band. The
issue number of the magazine
is stated under the title. The
articles are set in columns in
the left hand side of the page
with page numbers written
next to the articles so that
readers can go straight to that
article.
8. Double Page Spread Analysis
This double page spread
shows a full page image of 2
band members with a large
title over their heads so that
readers know what band they
are from. The colour scheme
of this page is red, black and
white which adds to the rock
theme of the magazine. The
articles are written in columns
on the right page and have a
quote from the article in bold
writing to interest you into
reading the article.
