3. Body mass index is a measure of body fat
based on a person’s weight in relation to his
height. BMI is a simple, inexpensive way to
calculate body-fat and it is the
recommended method for diagnosing over
weight and obesity.
4. Even though BMI is not an accurate tool for
measuring body fat, it can be used as an easy
accessible tool. Also, BMI is a recommended way
for diagnosing over weight or under weight.
After calculating BMI, we can use BMI chart for
determining our body fat.
5. BMI can be easily computed by the formula;
* Weight in kilogram is divided by square
of height in meter.
