8. Projects - Oil and Gas:
1- Process Control System (PCS), Fire and Gas System (F&G), Emergency Shut-Down system (ESD) and SCADA
system.
Three SIEMENS PLC/DCS systems where implemented to achieve the requirements, SIEMENS function blocks logic
was implemented for the process System, SIMENSE Safety Matrix software was used to program the Fire and Gas
system, SIEMENS safety library was used to program the Emergency shut-down system, the SIEMENS WINCC HMI
software was used to build the SCADA system in addition TYCO addressable loops Fire and Gas System was used and
connected to the SIEMENS system using SIEMENS mod-bus communication, also DRAGER Fire and Gas Instruments
where used and hard wired to the safety I/O modules.
These systems where engineered by myself.
2- Fire and Gas system (F&G) using TRICONEX PLCs, SIMRAD and GENERAL MONITORS F&G instruments.
Two Triconex PLCs based control systems along with GEFANUC cimplicity HMI were built engineered and site
commissioned. This project was implemented for ADGAS which based in Das Island in Abu-Dhabi-UAE.
• Triconex SOE (Sequence of Events) Recorder.
• Peer – Peer communication.
• Tristation programming and configuration tool.
• Fire and gas detectors installation and calibration.
• Fiber optics communication.
3- Fire and Gas system (F&G) using GE-FANUC PLCs 90-70 series.
4- Fire and Gas system (F&G) using GE-FANUC PLCs 90-30 series.
Complete F&G systems for KJO (Al-Khafji Joint Operations) were designed, engineered, tested and commissioned, Ten
OIL platforms in Saudi Arabia was serviced with these systems, a 60 KM of fiber optics networks under sea were used to
send data to offshore and onshore control rooms.
5- Emergency Shut-Down system (ESD) using TRICONEX PLC for ADMA-OPCO in Das Island in Abu-Dhabi-UAE.
