7. Довгоочікуване підкорення найвищої вершини Івано-
Франківська групою ПНА 26 та їх куратором відбулося!!!!
(репортаж англійською)On September 30, 2009 the highest mountain in IvanoFrankivsk – Vovchyntsi Mountain finally was
conquered. The climb was dedicated to four great events: 2 birthdays (Lilya and Nadya, our best
wishes!!!), Day of Vira, Nadya and Lyubov and the last day of warm September.
Seven fearless mountaineers – Lilya, Nadya, Ira, Natalya, Ivanka, Galya and Sergiy
Myroslavovych, equipped with enthusiasm, high spirits, good vibrations, 3 skewers, 2 thermos
flasks, 1 fork, 300 gr. tomatoes, 200 gr. cucumbers, 1 loaf sliced bread, 300 gr. BBQ sausages, 1
delicious cake, 1 bottle bubbly started their legendary climb at 2.30 p.m.
Despite thorns, horns, and thunderstorms, scorching heat and slippery sleet, raging blizzards and
local wizards and, of course, wolves our six heroes set a camp at the summit at 3.30 p.m.
The remaining time passed meaningfully, joyfully and eventfully. The distant Ivano Frankivsk
stretched beneath their feet; home and university locations and landmarks were identified and
named; only a student's hostel was obscured by the smog. The brave adventurers got acquainted
with barberry, blackthorn and other Precarpathian plants. They even rescued the forest from the
fire.
"It is unbelievable, I have never expected to experience such state of wellbeing; the wild nature,
fresh air, clear streams, waterfalls, caves, pine-trees, eagles, trout, deer! It all exists near the city
and I have never been here. From now on it is my favourite recreational destination" – said one
member of the group, Mr Sydoriv.
Vovchyntsi Mountain is the first step in the glorious chain of climbs. Homyak, Hoverla, Mont Blanc
and Everest await the PEE-26 heroes. Well done!!! And God speed!!!!
