COVID-19 has accelerated the integration of virtual and in-person healthcare delivery,
requiring a fundamental change in how we engage with customers in order to maintain
relevance.
To meet the transforming landscape in exhibition booth design we briefly explored the
following solutions:
• Web-based Augmented Reality to connect the digital marketing campaign with stand design.
• Ideas for hybrid and a full-remote stand solutions.
• Hybrid solutions to unlock the full value of conference content in the exhibition booth.
The solutions outlined in this presentation have all been successfully tested in Museums, and
International Conferences and Exhibitions.

4. Integrating marketing photos of healthcare patients into the booth design
The steps to create an integrated multimedia stand experience from marketing photos of patients are:
1. Transform a 2D photo in a 3D model or avatar image.
2. Produce a 3D video animation.
3. Use a 3D printer to produce a sculpture from the 3D model.
4. Use the sculpture and the video to design a memorable Augmented Reality experience.

• It's possible to render two-dimensional photos into

TRANSFORMING A 3D IMAGE INTO A SCULPTURE
POWERED BY AR
The last step to create a memorable Augmented Reality
experience is to use the 3D video animation to make
the sculpture coming to life.
Museums and private collectors are taking full
advantage of 3D printing by scanning important works
and “becoming engines of new cultural creation”.
The technology is now affordable and easy to use and
enables to perfectly replicate a 3D image in a large-
scale sculpture made of light material.

8. Ideas for using webAR in the exhibition booth
The Web-based Augmented Reality (webAR) allows users to access the experience
directly from their smartphones, there’s no need for any downloading.
Through the QR the device automatically connects to the website where content is
stored, and the application works on most operating systems, mobile devices, and web
browser.

Users may access to gated healthcare content
through a registration process after
downloading the webAR.
Content can be tracked and updated remotely.
The QR code only needs to be scanned at the
beginning. After the first time the App will
connect automatically.
After accessing the webAR App it is possible to
choose the language and download a variety
of content, such as video, PDF, etc.
Users can access to a 1:1 chat with an expert,
similar to WhatsApp or Telegraph.
The webAR App may use image recognition or
surface recognition as triggers. The entire
booth can become an Augmented Reality
experience.

11. From flexible stand solutions to fully remote stand design
By combining both in-person and virtual elements, flexible hybrid stands can range from simple in-
person with some live streaming components, to fully-remote stand with no staff onsite.

The introduction of new video
conferencing technologies and the
increasing expectations of
exhibition organisers and audiences have
meant that the roster of equipment now
rivals that of a broadcast studio.
This has opened new opportunities for
turning exhibition booth in digital studios
enabling to connect on-site visitors with
satellite external events, or experts.

On the other spectrum we have a stand with no staff
onsite.
The challenge here is to design pods that are a
nice, comfortable place to rest, perhaps with flat
monitors and serene scenes as windows, while
acoustically ideal, offering echo-free space and
privacy.

15. OTT CHANNEL FOR QUALITY LIVE STREAMING, AND FOR WATCHING CONTENT, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME
OTT stands for "Over The Top" and is a user-friendly internet streaming service, similar to Netflix, that
work across any devices. OTT channels also offer live streaming, similar to a cable TV channel.
Associations and pharmaceutical companies can upload all videos in one single place and have their
own private live-streaming channel.
