Quick Tips for a Better Breakfast:
o Top yourbreakfastwithfruit!Add berries or chopped fruit to cereal, oatmeal, and
yogurt, or add sliced bananas and peanut butter to toast for an extra serving of fruit.
o Drinkyour breakfast! If it’s difficult for you to eat early in the morning, try drinking
something instead. Try a glass of fruit juice or milk, make a smoothie, or have a glass of
water to get your body hydrated.
o Spice up yourscrambledeggs! Peppers and onions add a lot of flavor to eggs, and
other vegetables like mushrooms, tomatoes or spinach are healthy options with loads of
flavor. Veggies are packed with vitamins, and adding them to your breakfast can make
you feel fuller longer.
o Choose wholegrains! These have a bunch of extra vitamins, minerals, and fiber
compared to white bread, and they can keep you fuller longer. It may look different
than white bread, but it tastes great, and your body will thank you for it later!
o Makebreakfastpartof yourmorning routine! Instead of running out the door,
make time to enjoy breakfast in the morning. If it’s difficult to make extra time, try
setting up everything you need the night before, so it won’t be a hassle in the morning.
