The survey results show that people are attracted to free music and gifts in magazines. To create a successful magazine, extensive research is needed. Most respondents listen to rock and pop/R&B artists, both old and new. YouTube and iTunes are the most visited music websites. The majority spend less than £3.50 per month on magazines or nothing at all. Most prefer smaller local gigs over large festivals. Downloads under £5 per month are most common. Illegal downloading and sites like YouTube are primary ways to find new music. TV and the internet are most used to watch music videos on channels like MTV and VH1. Free gifts are the main draw of music magazines for many respondents.

7. How much you spend on physical or download music per month? As we can see from this column chart (in 3-D!), the highest column is the Between £0.00 and £5.00 category. Which states that people are either spending as little as £5.00 a month on downloadable music or nothing at all. Very little people have answered in the other categories but it is interesting that more people are willing to spend £20.00+ a month on music per month that those who spend £10.00-£20.00.
