the people interviewed only
read newspaper/magazine 1 to
3 times a week while only 10%
reads 7 or more times a week.
The result shows that people
nowadays does not read
newspaper/magazines as much
as they used to.

LIKE TO READ THE MOST?
Newspaper/Magazine Company
The Sun TV Choice The Guardian The Daily Telegraph Other
In this question the people who were
interviewed were free to pick their
favourite newspaper/magazine.
Turned out TV Choice were the most
picked with 40% followed by The Sun
with 30% which makes me come to
an conclusion that was also
reinforced by the first question that
my advert aim is more towards the
female gender.
5.WHAT MAKES AN EFFECTIVE
NEWSPAPER PRINT ADVERT?
Striking Images Eye Catching Text Good Colour Scheme
Informative Objective Others
According to the graph people who
answered this questionnaire prefer
to have a striking image and eye
catching text in their newspaper
advert followed by colour scheme,
informative and then objective. This
result will influence me on the
producing process as this gives me
an idea of what my target audience
are looking forward to see.

NEWSPAPER PRINT ADVERT MORE
MEMORABLE?
Bold Striking Image,Simple Text Elaborate Complex Design,Extravagant Text
I’ve asked this question in my
questionnaire in order to have an idea
of what kind of advert style my
audience would like to see and
consider it as a memorable advert.
Turned out they prefer to see Bold
striking images and simple text rather
than Elaborate Complex design and
extravagant text (80%vs20%). This will
help me a lot as it will be easy and
more efficient when comes to advert
my documentary.
7. IN YOUR OPINION, IS IT BETTER TO SEE
LOTS OF TEXT ON A NEWSPAPER ADVERT IN
ORDER TO GAIN MORE INFORMATION?

said that they prefer to see a lot text
in order to gain more information.
This ay be because people like to
pay attention to every single detail
about what is being advertised. In
the producing process I’ll consider
applying a bit more information to
it in order to satisfy the audiences.
8.WHAT SIZE WOULD BE APPROPRIATE
FOR A NEWSPAPER PRINT ADVERT?
Small Medium Large Double page Spread
In my questionnaire all of those who were
interviewed said a medium sized
newspaper print advert would be more
likely to be remembered and viewed.
Which makes me think that a small advert
may be over looked so it wouldn’t be as
efficient and the same with large double
page spread as it would be too large and
would put viewers off. In the producing
process I will definitely consider
constructing a medium sized advert.
