l and dub music. Today's lesson will focus on four
genres of music:

Rocksteady
Reggae
Dancehall
4. Ska
A combination of mento, American Jazz and rhythm
and blues.
Ska began in the 1950s due to the heavy influx of
American jazz and rhythm and blues.
The first Ska recordings were done at the legendary
Studio One by Coxsone Dodd.
Coxsone Dodd is one of the most important figures
in the history of ska.

7. Rocksteady
Rocksteady began in 1966.
It is a derivative of Ska.
