The modern Kabaddi game was played all over India and
some parts of South Asia from 1930.
Rules of Kabaddi as an indigenous sport of India was
prepared in Maharashtra in the year 1921 .
3. KABADDI STYLE ,
TYPES
Four forms of kabaddi played in India are Amar, Suranjeevi,
huttuttoo, and Gaminee.
While kabaddi mats measuring 13m x 10m form the playing court in
standard style, the circle style has a circle with a radius of 22 metres.

6. HOW TO PLAY
Two teams of seven players

OFFENSIVE SKILL
1) Back Kick:
Back kick in kabaddi is one of the cleverest
skills.
2) Dubki:
A move that requires exceptional timing and
sharp instincts to be pulled off is a Dubki.
9. 3) Hand Touch:
Hand Touches are one of the primary kabaddi
attacking skills.
4) Lion Jump:
Lion Jump requires unbelievable power and thrust
generated from the legs of the raider.
10. DEFENSE SKILL
1) Ankle Hold:
Star defenders like Ravinder Pahal
and Surender Nada have shown the world
how to pull off an exquisite ankle hold.
2) Block:
The move that not only requires
strength of body but also of mind to
commit themselves to this high-risk, high-
reward move.
11. 3) Chain Tackle: Chain Tackle is one of those kabaddi
techniques.
4)Dash: Dashing out a raider off the court or lobby.
