Summary
Throughout my career I have developed an awareness of the strengths, skills and qualities I bring to the profession.
With over 24 years in teaching I consider myself to be an excellent practitioner with a wealth of experience gained
from working in a wide range of education settings. I have extensive leadership and management experience and am
committed to school improvement and providing the best education opportunities possible for all young people.
I have a real desire for team work and staff development, which has been fundamental in all my positions. I place an
enormous value on the emotional, social and professional support of people around me and always consider myself a
team player, whether that team be my colleagues, the local authority or the governors that I work with.
I am highly organised, and confident in my ability to prioritise, delegate where necessary and above all meet the
needs of all stakeholders.
I have a strong personal philosophy that drives my vision and passion for education. I believe that all children have
the potential to be successful and achieve whatever they aspire to be, and that it is a schools responsibility to equip
them with the tools and skills they need in order to reach their full potential. I am passionate about making a positive
contribution to the lives of the future generation.
I am genuine, hard- working, enthusiastic, well-motivated, visionary and dedicated to making a difference to the young
people in my care. I am approachable, dependable and have a keen sense of humour. I embrace change and
welcome a challenge.

developing a ‘can do’ culture. I have been instrumental in implementing the teacher learning community, and been an
advocate for curriculum development.
I have worked closely with trained Ofsted inspectors to ensure best practice is modelled and high standards are
achieved. Due to the diverse nature of the education settings I have worked in I have had to work creatively to drive
significant school improvement securing good or better judgements from HMI. I achieved this success by strategically
planning school improvement priorities, restructuring curriculum provision, raising standards of teaching and learning
and supporting leadership and management to drive school improvements by building on achievements and holding
people to account.
I am particularly proud of the creative, innovative projects that I have led and the provisions I have established. These
have enhanced the skills and empowered the teams that I have line managed. They have incorporated well
established strategies, built on educational research and resulted in outstanding professional development that
secured effective curriculum provision, outstanding learning and teaching leading to excellent outcomes and
achievements for young people.

Role: Head of Education/SENCO
• Strategically lead and manage the school.
• Responsible for the day to day operation of the school
• Provide professional development support, coaching and mentoring to leaders at all levels to ensure
outstanding curriculum provision and high standards of learning and teaching
• Lead and quality assure self-evaluation processes including strategically planning school development in
collaboration with associated Senior Leaders
• Monitoring and evaluating assessment and standards across the school, supporting leaders to enhance
current practise, further improving and developing the use of assessment for learning in daily teaching
• Conducting all performance management reviews of teachers and support staff and organising CPD.
• Responsible for all aspects of SEN.
• Managing budgets for education and vocational (school holidays) weeks.

  • 2. developing a ‘can do’ culture. I have been instrumental in implementing the teacher learning community, and been an advocate for curriculum development. I have worked closely with trained Ofsted inspectors to ensure best practice is modelled and high standards are achieved. Due to the diverse nature of the education settings I have worked in I have had to work creatively to drive significant school improvement securing good or better judgements from HMI. I achieved this success by strategically planning school improvement priorities, restructuring curriculum provision, raising standards of teaching and learning and supporting leadership and management to drive school improvements by building on achievements and holding people to account. I am particularly proud of the creative, innovative projects that I have led and the provisions I have established. These have enhanced the skills and empowered the teams that I have line managed.
