2. Superlatives
Si un adjetivo termina en “-e”, solo agregamos
“-st”.
Ejemplo:
-Huge Hugest
- Close Closest
Venus is the
closest planet to
Earth.

3. • Si un adjetivo termina en una sola
consonante precedida de una sola vocal,
debemos duplicar la consonante.
Ejemplo:
-Big Biggest
- Hot Hottest
Mercury is
the hottest
planet.

4. • Para los adjetivos con mas de 2 silabas,
usamos “the most” y el adjetivo original.
Ejemplo:
-Beautiful the most beautiful.
Earth is the most
beautiful planet.

5. • Para los adjetivos que terminan en “y”,
debemos cambiar la “y” por la “i”, y luego
agregar “est”.
Ejemplo:
Heavy Heaviest
Jupiter is
heaviest
planet.

6. Comparatives
• Para la mayoría de los adjetivos de una
silaba (adjetivos cortos), agregamos “er”.
Ejemplo:
Small Smaller
Fast Faster
Mars is
smaller
than Jupiter

7. Para los adjetivos cortos que terminan en una
vocal y en una consonante, se debe
duplicar la consonante y agregar “er”.
Ejemplo:
Big Bigger
Saturn is
bigger than
Uranus

8. • Para los adjetivos que terminan en “y”,
debemos cambiar la “y” por la “i”, y luego
agregar “er”.
Ejemplo:
- Heavy Heavier
Earth is
heavier than
Saturn.

9. • Para los adjetivos con mas de 2 silabas,
usamos “ more” y el adjetivo original.
Ejemplo:
-Beaufitul more beautiful
Saturn is more
beautiful than
Neptune

10. • Para los adjetivos con mas de 2 silabas,
usamos “ more” y el adjetivo original.
Ejemplo:
-Beaufitul more beautiful
Saturn is more
beautiful than
Neptune
