About Santander Bank
Santander Bank has been
serving customers in the
Northeast of the United States
since 2013. It’s their mission to
help their customers prosper.
In celebration of Hispanic
Heritage Month, the volunteers
from Santander’s Conexión
Employee Resource Group
volunteered during this event.
Conexión consists of
employees dedicated to the
development, empowerment
and growth of Latinx and
Hispanic colleagues within the
communities where they live,
work and serve.
Excel Academy
Excel Academy was founded
in Massachusetts in 2003 with
the mission to provide a
high-quality education to
students in East Boston and
Chelsea, communities that are
predominantly low-income and
Latinx and historically have
faced significant social and
educational barriers. Their
mission is to prepare students
to succeed in high school and
college, apply their learning to
solve relevant problems, and
engage productively in their
communities.

Mock Interview Simulation
Through SuitUp, volunteers from Santander Bank and students from Excel Academy
participated in a SuitUp mock interview competition where volunteers coached students and
provided interview best practices for a role at Santander. At the end of the event, each team
competed during an interview with a panel of judges for a chance to be hired for the job and
receive a cash prize.
