2. Food is Not That Bad
Here are a few of the many food options MAHE has to offer
(it’s certainly way more than I had in college):
1. KMC Food Court
2. Yo Dragon – healthy oil-free Chinese platter with Hakka
noodles, fried rice, veg Manchurian starter and soup. The
speciailty here is the Prawn Manchurian platter.
3. Hangyo Saiba- tasty North Indian
4. Asian K. Flavours- Malaysian
5. HOT CHICKS- best crispy fried chicken for 60 bucks per
piece
6. Sciracco Thai Continental
7. Hangyo Ice Cream
3. MAHE is Not Filled with Spoilt Brats
• While a lot the students that attend Manipal University are wealthy,
the impression that they are also spoilt is mistaken
4. Manipal Academy of Higher Education Philately and
Numismatic Club (MUPNC)
• This is a unique club dedicated to the study of postage stamps and
coins, working with Dakshina Karnataka Philately and Numismatic
Association, Mangalore
5. Volunteer Services Organization (VSO)
Objectives:
1. To respond to community needs
2. Address the issues of society
3. To develop the leadership potential of the students
4. Enhance student learning
6. Diversity
• Manipal University has a lot of Non-resident Indians and foreign
nationals, as well as Indians from all over the country
• An atmosphere like this allows one to interact with, and learn about,
different cultures and lifestyles. This in turn allows for an enhanced
understanding, and acceptance, of diverse cultures.
7. Great Facilities for Extra Curricular Activities
1. The MIT Innovation Centre
2. Data Centre
3. Elearning Initiative
4. Manipal Group-Wide Connectivity (Manipal GWC)
5. Picture Archival Communication System (PACS)
6. I-ON Services (Wireless Campus)
8. NOT a Drug Den
• Manipal is not a drug den — it
is taken out of context and
singularly attacked.
• When you consider the rates
of substance use and abuse
across various states in India,
Manipal certainly does not
measure up. In fact, by
comparison, drug use in
Manipal is relatively low.
