PERSONAL SUMMARY
Mrs. Sangeeta Harjani graduated in social work from Nirmala Niketan in 1974. She completed
her degree in the initial stages of social work academically framed with a professional
approach. But acceptance from society at large was still awaited. For society it was a
voluntary service to keep oneself busy, without any monetary gains. Her working period as a
professional social worker was therefore a challenge. She, followed by many others
thereafter, with their passion, commitment, dedication and perseverance have contributed in
changing its professional growth. Today, it stands as one of the most respected professions in
the mainstream.
Her working span of 22 years began with working in a small organization for 3-4 hours to at
present HOD of PASI department of YWCA, Mumbai.

sponsored children to their respective sponsor
