  • 16. In partnering with these firms we have worked together to secure the leadership talent required to achieve aggressive growth targets. Finding the right profile of leadership is our ‘sweet spot’!4

  • 18. Typical search industry fees are based on the compensation of the candidate hired and use the following pricing model: 1/3 of base salary or ¼ of total compensation.
  • 19. Fees are then typically invoiced 1/3 at confirmation of engagement; 1/3 when a long list of qualified candidates is provided to the client; and 1/3 upon the preferred candidate’s start date.
  • 20. At cm+m, we also use a Performance-Based Pricing Model.
  • 21. We will invoice 15% (instead of 33%) at confirmation of engagement; 50% at the long list presentation; and the remainder at the candidate’s start date.

Critical in this area is understanding the changing nature of stakeholder expectations. We work together with the organization to help transition the profile of the leadership team to align with those expectations. Additionally, we have established a reputation in the mid-cap market where we have been working with Merchant Banks and Private Equity firms (both institutional and high net worth), and have expanded our platform at their request to include essential services in Leadership Evaluation / Calibration and Integration to support retention.
