1. Questionnaire evaluation
This question shows the
amount of males and
females who carried the
questionnaire.
This information indicates
that more females carried
out the questionnaire
than males. This indicates
that I should focus a
majority of my music
video towards the female
viewer but not
completely dismiss the
male audience
completely and still have
elements that they would
enjoy.
This question allowed me to
find out who I should aim my
video towards. I didn’t want
to go below the age of 16
because some of the content
I wanted to add in the video
would be seen as
inappropriate to those under
the age of 16.
By the majority of
participants for the
questionnaire answering that
they are 16 – 20 allows me
to continue with my choice
of wanting to aim my video
to 16 – 20 year olds but still
have elements that suit a
large demographic.
2. The response to this question was a great relief
to see. Personally my group and I wanted to do
a music video based around house music and
knowing that our audience would like to see
what we envision for the house genre.
This question allowed me to find out how the
audience would like there video to be set
whether with a story line or totally creative.
The answers indicated that the audience
prefer a narrative - following a story line.
3. Question 5 allowed me to find
out what type of props,
costumes and characters I
needed to include in the music
video.
The answers from the
participants showed that I
should include people singing,
strobe lighting and a party
scene.
I will include a number of the
expected elements but as a
group we decided to not
include an exact party scene
due to the fact we are aiming it
towards those between the age
of 16 – 18 who may not be of
drinking age and one elements
of a party is alcohol.
4. I chose to ask this
question because my
group wanted to engage
the audience in as much
as possible. It is
important to have an
actor in the music video
that the audience would
connect with. A majority
of the questionnaire
participants where
female and they felt that
having a female actor
would be best to use.
Due to the fact that they
would be able to relate
to the female character
and enjoy the video
more.
8 – Female actress
2- male
5 – undecided
5. Question 7
Question 8
When thinking about House
music videos there vibes are
based on positivity and having
fun. A number of our
participants selected Happy
(58.42 %).
Which we will take into an
account.
By having a happy vibe it allows
us to have a more enjoyable
filming day with the cast and
crew.
6. The question was used to find out
if our audience would enjoy my
group creating a music video. The
purpose of a music video globally
is to show case a song. If the
majority didn’t watch music
videos every day we would have
to probably go back to the
drawing board and consider other
projects for our A2 course work
such as a short film.
7. By asking this question
we can find out how
our music video should
be filmed and edited.
Our main aim is to
attract our audience
and the best way to
attract our desired
audience is to fit our
music video around
some of their favourite
music videos.
As a group now, we can
come together and
discuss our ideas in
order to create a final
idea a long with a shot
list

9. The sole purpose of this questionnaire was to find out what the audience wanted to see in a music
video. By a majority of the participants wanting to see multiple locations this will be a factor my group
will add into the music video.
