3. Perception
● Perception refers to the way -
we see the world around
ourselves
● The process starts with
receiving external stimuli
from environment and then
interpreting the same.
5. The Beauty of Unique Perception
● Form a unique viewpoint
● See situations with a different
lens of perception
● Don't limit your imagination.
If you can craft a unique perspective in
different situations, you will be a sought
out by leaders
6. Perception & Vantage Point
● Vantage point is a position
from where you can see
things well
● Perception is temporal, it
doesn't remain the same
with time
7. Shift in Perception
● Professor Richard Rumelt explains
about Shift in Perception in his classic
book : Good strategy, Bad Strategy
● Change in perception leads to
empathy for others.
● A designer gets into shoes of the end
user, changes his perception to
understand more about the problems
of users.
8. Before & After MRI Scanning
Getting into the shoes of children, being
more empathetic, the product designer
could modify the MRI machine.
Children found it difficult to get tested on
scary-looking MRI machines and would
require big doses of anaesthesia to get
sedated.

judgements

validation should not be
