A I R P O R T
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) aims to increase the capac-
ity of Abha Regional Airport serving, currently 1.1 million passengers per
year up, to 10 million passengers per year. The project’s estimated BUA
area is approx. 160,000 m2, including a main passenger terminal building,
and another 25 various ancillary buildings. The project also includes de-
sign works within the landside and airside (new apron and inter-connect-
ing taxiways), based on the new airport development’s design.
-The main role: creating an alternative design for the building and to de-
signing the main interior spaces as following:
-Check-In Hall.
-Departure Lounge.
-Arrival Corridor.
-Baggage-Reclaim Hall

8. The design is formed from the natural dune lines in the desert mixed with
the nature of Aseer province in Saudi Arabia. The masses are designed
to be smooth and flexible to provide calm and peace to users who are
usually passengers.
The passengers need a unique relieving visual experience to decrease the
stress of being in an airport and fill them with calmness and comfort.

Development and renovation were required to host the Africa Cup of Na-
tions 2019.
-The main role: Developing the main football playground and its services
in plans and facades to deliver the optimum design concept as well as
modeling the required parts in the project to convert the conceptual per-
spectives into lines that can be constructed.

The mosque is located in Emaar’s Cairo Gate Project, Sheikh Zayed.
The land location is well connected to Sheikh Zayed City across the road
from Smart Village to Dandy Mall. With a capacity of 200 worshippers; the
mosque consists of a ground floor and a mezzanine floor with a total BUA
of approximately 500 sqm including a prayer hall (320 sqm), ablution, toi-
lets (40 sqm), and Imam room (30 sqm).

The scope is about to design a Mixed-Use building in Al Ghiran region,
Tripoli in Libya.
The Region is distinguished by its identity of having governmental institu-
tions, embassies and the UN headquarters that affects the architectural
approach in the design process.

Environmental Studies:
The marked region is distinguished by a special type of wind
flow direction in the whole year as shown in wind rose.
Extrusion of the Mass as one
unit in the plot.

sharp edges reaction with
wind.
Slicing one mass avoiding the
Symmetry and typicality.
Form Generation:
The shown diagrams shows the best use of the given plot of
the project:
On a site area of 9,300 m2; the project is an integrated commercial and
residential, and service development in Al-Ghiran, Tripoli, Libya. The res-
idential towers are fully finished, with facades and atrium design on core
and shell basis. The project has a footprint area of 6,000 m2 (65% of the
land area), with a total BUA of 400% of the land area, and a maximum
height of 27 meters.
The project consists of a commercial area and restaurant (G+1 with an
area of 12,000 m2 on a core and shell basis), an administrative building
(5 fully finished typical floors with an area of 12,600 m2), a residential
building (5 fully finished typical floors with an area of 12,600 m2), a 2-level
basement (parking and service rooms with an area of 18,600 m2), and a
helipad.

The project occupies a land plot area of 82,000 sqm. The
building consists of basement + ground + 3 floors, with a foot-
print ratio = 17 % of land area. The total BUA of the project
is 50,700 sqm and the total construction area is 90,250 sqm.
The university shall comprise the following:
- Faculty of Engineering, (BUA = 10,000 sqm).
- Faculty of Dentistry (BUA = 9,000 sqm).
- Faculty of Pharmacy (BUA = 7,500 sqm).
- Faculty of Administration and Economics (BUA = 5,700 sqm).
- Faculty of Education (BUA = 5,800 sqm).
- Research and Development Center (BUA = 2,000 sqm).
- Administration & Students Affairs.
- Central library.
- Conference theatre building (BUA = 4,500 sqm).
- Restaurant (BUA = 300 sqm).
- Sports hall and activities building (BUA = 4,000 sqm).
- Outdoor playgrounds and sports facilities, including soccer,
handball, basketball, and volleyball fields, as well as a tennis
court.

-Using an architectural language by implementing specific elements in the
buildings, makes them all connected as one entity without a boring repetition.
-The used elements are illustrated geometric forms that can be constructed
without construction complications.
-Simple form is required as the building is identified by its mass combined with
minimal geometric elements.

The interior design is created to give the impression of the uniqueness
