reporting to me are from Purchasing and Warehousing. Purchasing activities include release

Talegaon being set up to increase manufacturing capacitiesto manufacture cars.A facility to

on the Master Dot Timing chart and is responsible for the complete set up of stores also
referred as the Cenral Materials Area, line side set up, part presentations, facilities and

Calculating requirements of equiments and facilities for operations. Technical detailing of
dock levellers, forklift and tuggers, Kanban racks.Release of SOR(Statement of requirement),

Operations Readiness :
Outsourcing of operations to a third party for the material operations. SORrelease, evaluation
and sourcing of the third party. Detailed discussion’s supply process wise from material gate

Safety is the Over riding Priority in the GMS Principles. Safety has been considered in every
activity of the material operations, Task based Risk Assessment has been done, Safety
features have been designed in every equipment. Fall Hazards, Traffic control measures and
Oranze crush Zones have been identified with the PPE’s required for the operations.
Packaging :
Development of Supplier Packaging to suit palletisation,standard pack to have 90% cube
utilisation during transportation, should not affect part quality, and have maximum pack
density. Approving concepts for dolly’s / trolley’s, validation and approval of the same.

F2005 where New Projects are designed and implemented for production
 Responsible for the Brown Field Project in Nashik Plant – To set up the Logistics Function
viz. the set up of new facilities for the Project Ingenio - a new MUV to be launched in the
market in Aug’08.
 Responsible for the planning and set up of the stores and facilities for the project in the
TCF line (Trim Chassis & Final) & the body shop which includesadditional docks, mobile
equipments & storage system- high bay racks, KLT racking, equipment charging areas.
 Developing the layouts based on various business scenarios for the TCF, body shop and
Press shop to optimise on the available space and reduce new investments.
 Plan the line side layouts, part deliver strategy from suppliers to the storesand to the line
side. Finalising the packing of the parts and delivery methods keeping in view the
development, packing and delivery costs. Developed the packing strategy and
implementing the same across all the suppliers.
 Developing the pull system strategy and implementing the same on the operations.
