Woodland Hills Elementary School - The PATTER - September 2017
Back 2 School Bash 2014 Ltr
1. Do you believe children should have the tools necessary to succeed in school? If you do not grab this
opportunity to provide children who need it: notebooks, papers, pencils, and rulers, then your answer is,
“No.”
We are determined in our mission to leave every child with the tools necessary to take advantage of
learning and, ultimately, follow the career path of their choice. When we say, “Our children are the
leaders of the future”, it is not a cliché; it is a fact.
If your answer is, “Yes”, join us for the BACK 2 SCHOOL BASH 2014.
Support the cause with us, the Urban Youth Empowerment Project of America, Inc. (U.Y.E.P.), on
Sunday, July 27,2014, at Vine City Park from 3p.m. to 7p.m. Urban Youth Empowerment Program
Planning will unite with the Vine City Civic Association, TryCope, Inc., Jay Productions Agency, local
churches, local businesses, organizations, and other community partners to host this event.
You will join celebrities, professional athletes, community leaders, educators, activists, motivational
speakers, and local recording artists in the effort to ensure that students are well prepared for the 2014-
2015 school year. This bash will be a welcoming environment for young children and their
parents/guardians to enjoy themselves in a fun and engaging way, while listening to positive messages
in the spirit of love and community.
Every student is 100% worth our time. We need 1000% from you. It is our goal this year to provide 1,000
students with the following items at the BACK 2 SCHOOL BASH 2014: backpacks, notebook paper,
tablets, binders, pencils, ink pens, rulers, calculators, highlighters, and crayons. There will also be
stations set up for students to receive dental screenings, health check-ups, physical examinations, vision
screenings, vouchers (to purchase clothes, shoes, and food), along with face painting, games and prizes.
Don’t wait! Call (404) 397-8404, or email us at: back2schoolbash2014@gmail.com (or
info@empowerurbanyouth.org).
Their backpacks are empty. Help us fill them.
Sincerely,
Darius D. Matlock
