Our New Hire Objectives
   Streamline Recruiting, Interviewing and On-Boarding

   Problems:
   Inefficient process, no standards, New Hires lack
    resources to succeed and be productive

Current Needs / Areas of Improvement
   Currently, lack of expectations, processes and
    channels of communication are resulting in the
    following situations:

       New Hires arrive and start without:
           A computer
           Proper software
           A phone
           A place to sit
           Login information to access computer or email
How does this adversely affect profit?
   Productivity is affected across multiple teams:

       New Hire:
             With no equipment or login, they cannot function
             Questions and confusion postpone the acclimation
              process

       Hiring Manager, HR & IT
             Hiring Managers and HR attend to a constant flow of
              individual questions instead of effectively executing their
              role
             Inhibits ITs ability to plan logistically, budget accordingly
              for all necessary equipment, and do so in a timely matter
How will we streamline On-Boarding?

   1. Hiring Manager New Hire Checklist
       Checklist MUST be followed for process to be effective

   2. Human Resources New Hire Checklist

   3. Host New Hire Orientation Wednesdays (if
    needed)
       Our proposal: all New Hires start on Wednesday ONLY!
Successful On-Boarding
    New Hire - productive, welcoming, & informative first
     day

    Hiring Managers - complete checklist for each stage
     of hiring

    IT - timely set up of New Hire’s work station

    HR - timely set up of desk space, employee ID
     #, paperwork
Why do we need Orientation?
   Currently without Orientation, New Hires don’t have
    answers to the most common questions, for
    example:
       How do I use the telephone directory?
       Where do I get supplies?
       What do I need to do to get my office equipment set up?
       How do I request time off?
       When do I get paid?
       What are my benefits?
       Where do I find my New Hire paperwork and is it filled out correctly?


   HR, IT and Hiring Managers can be more prepared,
    productive and innovative on a daily basis.
What’s the goal of Orientation?
A successful Orientation ensures that the New Hire is:
 Set up for productivity and success from the first day
 Comfortable and welcome in their new home
 Introduced to Executives and their roles in the
  business
 Familiarized with our locations and departments
 Familiarized with Company-wide processes


   It also ensures that HR streamlines New Hire
    paperwork:
       Set up in our internal systems correctly – all paperwork
        correctly completed and turned in on time
