Thank you for taking the time to read this.
“Authentic development, of ecosystems of communities of
nations, needs to be based on taking care of the ecological
foundations of our life and more deeply than that, our very
identity, our very being as human being, because our first
identity is of citizens of this earth and planet. Everything else is
secondary, everything else is removed”
~Vandana Shiva
Personal, Professional, &
Education Mission and
Purpose Statement
To encourage a healthy coexistence between community stewards and
the ecological services and systems including all forms of biodiversity to
which we all depend on for our existence today and for our future
generations. Mantra- All members of the community are stewards in
their own right, every person brings to the table a unique set of skill, I
work to identify these skills and helping create connections between
persons and institutions, for the benefit of all.

Core Action Principles
My work will be action orientated and guided by these three features:
Nourishment: As I approach my work, I will plan as if for harvest, tending to the ecological function of
an area and the complex systems that provides abundance and nourishment for mind, body and soul of
the most vulnerable on our home, Earth. I will do this sustainably, so we may evolve.

actions. Providing room for the individuals to growth and find enlightenment. I will work for the whole,
for mind, body, and soul. I will work for whole, for the individual, community, and ecology encouraging

Core Objectives
To the best of my ability, my core objectives are:
Minimize stress: To mitigate emotional and physical suffering for the most vulnerable of earthling, as we
venture through this half of the Anthropocene era and human induced climate change through resource
management and allocation.
Science (2000-Present) Thanks to my education, both life and institution taught. See for example:
in-1610-claim-scientists-10101690.html)
The sky- (1990s-present) Reminds me that we are all small in our own isolated problems (this brings me
comfort) but great in our mass powerful enough to change the planet's climate through simple
choices.
Earth and me (1990s-Present) Through times of doubt the Earth keeps answering me with the same
answer: Live as I do. Like a mother leading by example
Create Support Systems: To work for all earthlings; now and in the future, rights to access of; clean
air, water and food, by educating the most Powerful on how to live and do essential work within the
natural laws. Enabling a new value system to take hold and heal an unbalanced world that depends on
balance to function.

Thank you to all instructor that looked at my work and encouraged me to push myself forward. Special thanks
to Sara, WR 121, Dr. White who told me I was smarter that I gave my self-credit for, that my knowledge of
environmental issues was and is my strength. And to my MacroEcon Prof for encouraging me to read Ishmael,
An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit. and my Philosophy instructor that let me use it as my lit review.
Create Equity: Work to raise up; give voice and power, those that have been systematically oppressed
and kept from doing what is innate and healthy for themselves and their own. While working to help
others with an overabundance, release what is not needed and what is binding them to greed, so that
others may enjoy the bounty our Spaceship Earth. Gaya provides.

Core Values
Do no harm to and do not presume to be dominate over life: First you have to learn how the system
works and understand how “it” functions best before presuming to be of any assistance. I feel this value
stems from being dominate over me when I was weak and little and as I became more powerful over my
own life I sworn to protect the week

environment and access to food
Look for the intrinsic value in the individuals within their systems.
Each person is a piece of the whole and has special qualities that will help the betterment of all. We are
designed for each other and with our surroundings in mind. We cannot exist without each other, mentally
or emotionally, and physically without our world to support our body's and that of you next generation.
When I was younger, and still today, I feel my unique skills are overlooked if not outright disqualified
because I do not fit in.
Nelson J. (1983) Between Two Gardens: Reflections on Sexuality and Religious Experience. Pilgrim
Press “... such discoveries are never once and for all. They are luminous moments in an ongoing
process, moments that shed light upon the meaning of all else.”
Listen to life, no matter what language or species. (break language barriers)
Everything wants what's good for it and is willing to provide services in exchange for health and respect.

Be nurturing. Extend a hand and lead but do not do for them, what they can do for themselves. The
true test is the teacher’s; sustainability is the ability for the system to function without being monitored.

Be creative, if it’s not functioning help heal it. (think: complex, abstract, and in concept patterns.)
The world is dynamic, no matter how hard we try life cannot be contained or understood within black and
white thinking. Use empathy when working with others, truly relate to them, bend your own beliefs in
order to find understanding.
Bailey S. (1983-Present) Life lessons. I hit walls right and left and I know I

Be kind forgive and rebuild bridges: avoid the hardship of having to build trust after losing it,
once a person shuts off cognitive dissonance is a powerful force to fight against.
Barton J. (2012-Present) Kindness isn't just not using harsh language it's doing what's right for self while
committing no emotional treason upon the relationship.
Bailey S. (1983-Present) as an adult with mental health disability, I want to and treat others as I want to

Take care of yourself first, then try and help others: If you are not healthy (mind, body and soul) the
stress will tax you and the work will suffer.

Thank you for taking the time to read and learn about
what drives me.
I know that we are all beautiful perfectly flawed
creatures and we will fall sort of ideal just about every
moment of every day. I also know it’s the moments of
reflection that gives us the insight to live up to our
interpersonal goal.
We are not perfect in action or reaction in the moment,
but a reflective wise mind, guided by idealism and a
sense justice, will help bring us closer to our goals.
