7. Renault-Nissan Purchasing Organisation (RNPO), which
manages the alliance’s global supply chain, identified
the need to establish a global supply contract for
internal print services. We helped it move its operations
to a less capital-intensive, service-based supply and
maintenance model for its printers, cutting print costs
by more than 50 percent at Renault-Nissan’s French
operation.
Managed Document Services —
Renault-Nissan
Ricoh helped Arla Foods streamline and improve the
performance of its production print facilities in its
manufacturing and distribution environment. High
speed production printers were deployed to print
dispatch notes directly from mainframe computer
systems, ensuring 100 percent accuracy even in the
longest print runs. Print turnaround times have been
reduced, enabling Arla to respond more quickly to
customer orders and handle large peaks in demand.

IT Infrastructure Services
— Thai Airways Sweden
Thai Airways Sweden wanted to drive higher-
performing, more efficient and reliable IT systems
and processes. Ricoh’s Power Office solution provides
complete support for Thai Airways Sweden’s server,
virtual desktop and networked device infrastructure,
including proactive remote monitoring and effective
on-site support. As a result, the company has raised
productivity and reduced downtime thanks to the
faster resolution of IT issues.
USP Hospital Group generated more than 20 million
paper-based medical records every year, which required
significant administrative resource to maintain. We
helped it migrate from paper-based processes to an
Electronic Health Record system, driving new levels of
efficiency and improving the quality of patient care.

— USP & Quiron Hospital Group
Rapid growth in Dalkia’s managed energy services
business had led to a significant increase in back-
office administration, such as processing supplier
invoices. We provide a managed end-to-end service
to manage this workload that includes intelligent
data capture and automated processing to improve
the integrity of Dalkia’s financial data. Outsourcing
these manual processes has saved Dalkia an
estimated € 200,000 each year.

Sustainability Management Services —
Vodafone
Vodafone identified office printing as an area where
its environmental impact could be reduced. We
developed a flexible, eco-efficient print infrastructure
that is provided as a globally-scalable managed
service. As a result, Vodafone has reduced its paper
consumption by 75 percent in some regions, annual
office printing costs by up to 50 percent per user and
its CO2 footprint by almost three million kilograms per
annum.
Communication Services
— Coor Service Management
Through our Ricoh Connect & Collaborate offering,
we provide a managed video-conferencing facility
for Coor Service Management. Using virtual meeting
rooms, employees can collaborate on projects with
colleagues based at remote client sites, avoiding the
need for physical travel to meetings. Ricoh’s pay-as-
you-go solution is 100 percent self-financing, with
significant reductions in travel expenditure more than
covering the cost of usage.
