Taking lessons in diagnostics from the medical industry, we
developed a device for Unilever’s Dove brand to deliver an
experience that supports brand activation and encourages
consumers to trial Dove products.
The device uses hair-on-hair friction as a measure of hair
surface damage and gives an instant reading, allowing the
hostess to advise on a specific care and product regime.
We worked with Unilever from concept through to full
production, taking responsibility for all aspects from
industrial design, product development & global testing
through to transfer to, and management of, the contract
manufacturer
The end result
The device connects to the internet and uploads damage
scores along with various metadata to provide a foundation
for both a consumer service platform and an R&D research
platform.
