5. In the United States, as many as 10 in 100 young women suffer from an eating disorder and 15 in 24 die. Males suffer a lower rate of anorexia, but they too are sometimes afflicted, and have a higher rate of bulimia and binge-eating disorders than anorexia. Anorexia nervosa and bulimia, are on the increase among teenage girls and often run in American’s families
