C O N S U M E R I N S I G H T S
The Haub Survey Research Center (SRC) is a full-service
consumer research group ready to leverage best practice
research methodologies for clients in the Food,
Pharmaceutical, Financial Services, and Market
Intelligence disciplines. As part of the Haub
Center for Professional Development, we
use the full resources of the Haub School
of Business and Saint Joseph’s University
to help clients grow their business by
providing actionable consumer insights.
The SRC is fortunate to have several
highly skilled and experienced qualitative
moderators/interviewers, faculty members
of the Haub School of Business, who can
design and execute a targeted research strategy and
recommend the best approach for your organization. We
start with an experienced team of professional recruiters to
find high-quality, responsible participants who are carefully
screened to qualify for your project and then re-screened by
our own staff, to ensure the accuracy of the recruit.
Organizations can choose from a variety of survey modes, or
combine several modes for maximum response. The SRC
has experience managing multi-mode projects which
include: focus groups, face-to-face, telephone
and video interviews, self-administered
questionnaires, and internet surveys. Our
moderators are not only “captains of dialog,”
they combine rigorous academic training
with professional experience across a wide
range of industries.

15. FOOD MARKETING FOOD INDUSTRY
EDUCATION AND RESEARCH
The Center for Food Marketing, established in 1962, is at the heart of the Center
for Professional Development. A partnership between industry and academia, food
marketing is Saint Joseph University’s largest major. For more than 50 years, SJU
has been a leader in food marketing education, research, thought leadership, and
professional development.
We are one of a select few U.S. colleges offering a bachelor’s degree in food marketing,
and the only college worldwide offering graduate degree programs in food marketing
in an accredited school of business (Executive M.S., Executive MBA, Post-Graduate
certificate).
Our food marketing faculty is academically and industry trained, with experience
and expertise in markets throughout the world. Many serve on editorial boards, food
industry boards, or government committees. They lecture globally, publish broadly,
and are regular contributors to media. Recent faculty research explored areas in
food service, nutrition labeling, agriculture commodities, locavores, food and health,
retailing, food desserts, and corporate social responsibility in food.
