A verb is an action or state.

3. Noun
A noun is a person, place, thing or idea.
Examples- pen, dog, work, music, town, London, teacher, John
Names are considered Nouns.
Places are considered Nouns also.
This is my dog. He lives in my house. We live in London.
4. Adjective
An Adjective is something that describes a noun.
Examples- a/an, the, two, some, good, big, red, well, interesting
I have two dogs. My dogs are big. I like big dogs.
5. Adverb
An Adverb describes a verb or adjective… sometimes an other
adverb.
Examples- quickly, silently, well, badly, very, really.
My dog eats quickly. When he is very hungry, he eats really quickly.
8. Conjunction
A conjunction joins clauses or sentences or words.
Examples- and, but, when
I like dogs and I like cats. I like cats and dogs. I like dogs but I don't
like cats.
9. Interjection
A interjection is a short exclamation, sometimes inserted into a
sentence.
Examples- oh!, ouch!, hi!, well.
Ouch! That hurts! Hi! How are you? Well, I don't know.
