1. Anders Olofsgård is currently deputy director at the Stockholm Institute of
Transition Economics, and associate professor at the Stockholm School of
Economics. Before that he was associate professor at the School of Foreign
Service, Georgetown University. He holds a Ph. D. in economics from
Stockholm University, and his primary research areas are political economy
and economic development. Anders has also been a visiting scholar at the
research department of the IMF, and done work for among others the World
Bank, USAID and the Swedish Parliament.

Olofsgård
Helen Eduards is the head of the Department for Aid Management, the unit at
the Ministry for Foreign Affairs responsible for guiding, evaluating,
monitoring and coordinating the Swedish aid budget. She has had a long and
distinguished career working with Swedish governments, with previous
positions at the Swedish mission at the UN and as the head of the unit for
Foreign and European Affairs at the Prime Minister’s office.

John McArthur is a senior fellow with the UN Foundation and the Fung Global
Institute and a nonresident senior fellow in Global Economy and Development
at the Brookings Institution. Formerly CEO of Millennium Promise and deputy
director of the UN Millennium Project, he focuses on development economics,
international organizations, and global policy mechanisms for supporting
scale-up of successful activities.

Raj M. Desai is Associate Professor of International Development at the School
of Foreign Service and in the Department of Government at Georgetown
University, and a Non-resident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. He is
a specialist on problems of economic reform, foreign aid, and international
development.

2. Theodore Talbot works with Owen Barder and the CGD Europe team. He holds
a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in development economics from Trinity College Dublin.
During his Ph.D., he was an Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellow in
Vanuatu, where he worked in the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the
Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. Theo has also worked at the Ministry for
Planning and Investment in Hanoi, and for the University of Copenhagen’s
Development Economics Research Group.

Dean Yang is an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan, where he
holds appointments in the Department of Economics and the Ford School of
Public Policy. His current research is primarily on financial services for the
poor, international migration, and areas at the intersection of these topics. He
received his undergraduate and Ph.D. degrees in economics from Harvard
University.

Charlotte Petri-Gornitzka is currently Director-General at the Swedish
International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). She is also a member
of the Board at the Swedish Research Council. She has previously served as
Undersecretary-General, Swedish Red Cross, Secretary-General, Save the
Children Sweden, and Secretary-General, Save the Children International.

Amadou Sy is senior fellow at the Brookings’ Africa Growth Initiative and a
member of the Editorial Board of the Global Credit Review. He was previously
deputy division chief at the International Monetary Fund. He focuses on
banking, capital markets, and macroeconomics in Africa and emerging
markets.

Kerstin Hessius is Chief Executive Officer at Tredje AP-fonden. She is on the
Board of Directors at Bjorn Borg AB, Episerver AB, Vasakronan AB, AP
Fastigheter AB, Hemsö AB, and Kollegiet för Svensk Bolagsstyrning. She has
over 27 years of experience in the financial sector. She was previously the
Chief Executive Officer of Stockholm Stock Exchange from 2001-2004. Prior to
that she was from 1999-2000 a Deputy Governor of the Swedish Central Bank.

3. Anneli Rogeman is CEO at We Effect and Vi-skogen, development cooperation
organizations that have acted and worked with a long-term approach
operating in 25 countries since 1958. Anneli Rogeman previously has worked
as CEO at TV4 Uppland and Tidningen Vi and reporter and foreign
correspondent at SVT Aktuellt, editorial director and deputy managing editor
at SvD and other organizations.

Jolanda Profos currently works for the Development Co-operation Directorate
of the OECD. As part of the Peace, Security and Governance Team she works
on Conflict Minerals and manages the OECD's yearly report on Fragile States.
Before joining the OECD, Jolanda worked at the UN Peacekeeping Mission in
Liberia, and at the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations in New York.
She holds M.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University.

Adis Dzebo works at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) as a Research
Associate focusing on climate change adaptation and mitigation, centered
around the governance of global climate funds and the UN climate change
regime. Adis has previously worked with governance of climate change at
Lund University, and as a political advisor on climate and energy to the Green
Party in Stockholm. He holds an M.Sc. in Climate Change and International
Development from University of East Anglia, United Kingdom.

Gary Milante is Director of SIPRI's Security and Development Programme.
Before joining SIPRI he worked at the World Bank with the WDR team and
before that in the Development Economics Research Group and the Bank’s
Fragile and Conflict Affected Countries Group. His research focuses on the
intersection of security and socio-economic development. He received his PhD
in economics from the University of California at Irvine.

Annika Sundén is the chief economist at Sida. Previously, she was the
associate director for research at the Center for Retirement Research and an
economist at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC. She serves on the
board of Första AP-fonden, one of the five buffer funds in the Swedish pension
system. Annika earned her B.S. from the Stockholm School of Economics and
an M.S. and a Ph.D. in labor economics from Cornell University.

4. Sadia Hassanen is a researcher at the MultiCultural Center, a municipal
foundation engaged in research, education and cultural activities. Before that
she was a postdoctoral fellow at CEIFO (Centre for Research in International
Migration and Ethnic Relations) & Department of Social Anthropology,
Stockholm University. She holds a Master Degree in Epidemiology and Public
Health Sciences (EPHS) and a PhD in Human Geography from Stockholm
University.

Kathryn Nwajiaku-Dahou is the Interim Coordinator of the International
Dialogue on peacebuilding and Statebuilding (IDPS), hosted by the OECD.
Kathryn is a political scientist, with a PhD from Oxford and recognized
expertise on conflict, peacebuilding and the extractive industries in fragile
states; the subject of numerous publications, consultancies and official
postings with NGOs, governments and multilateral agencies.

Julian Egan is the Head of Advocacy at International Alert. His background
spans peace and conflict issues, international development assistance, foreign
relations and international law. Before joining Alert Julian worked for the
Australian government aid program (AusAID) for a number of years, working
on conflict-affected country programs, civil–military engagement and
multilateral institutions relevant to peacebuilding, including the UN Security
Council.

Torbjörn Becker is the Director of the Stockholm Institute of Transition
Economics (SITE) at the Stockholm School of Economics. Prior to this he
worked at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) where his most recent
position was as Senior Economist in the Research Department. His work covers
macroeconomics, international economics, financial markets, debt
management, fiscal policy and development issues. Torbjörn holds a Ph.D. in
economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.
