Pilides, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Cyprus and Fikri Toros, Chairman of
the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce.
How can the business community contribute to resolving the conflict on the divided
island of Cyprus? How can a reunited Cyprus contribute to growth and dynamics in
Southeastern Europe? What role can the business world play in the peace
negotiation process? What are the business perspectives on the conflict? How is the
peace process affected by the economic crisis?
Hear two leading business representatives from Cyprus – chairmen of the Chambers
for Commerce from the two communities of the island – discuss these current
questions during an interesting and forward-looking seminar moderated by Torbjörn
Becker from Stockholm School of Economics and with an introduction by the Head of
the European Department of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
The seminar will be introduced by Mikaela Kumlin Granit, Head of the European
Department of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and chaired by Torbjörn
Becker, Director SITE.
