In 1907, surfing was brought to Huntington Beach, California by George Freeth In 1912, surfing was brought to Virginia Beach, Virginia by James Matthias Jordan, Jr. In 1915, surfing was brought to Hawaii by Hawaiian Duke Kahanamoku
