The study of marketing is relevant to all areas
of business life and students learn how to use
available resources to their advantage in a

senior marketing roles both in Australia and
internationally.
The Master of Integrated Marketing is designed
for those who wish to specialise in a particular
area or to prepare for PhD studies.
Admission requirements
Applicants should have a recognised bachelor
degree with at least a credit average. Applicants
with a recognised bachelor degree with less
than a credit average are also encouraged to
apply and should submit a 500-word statement
outlining their suitability for the program.
Relevant work experience is preferred but not
essential.
Applicants who do not have an appropriate
qualification but who have five years’ relevant
work experience are also encouraged to apply.
Applicants with a degree in marketing and at
least two years’ relevant business experience
may be eligible for advanced standing at the
graduate certificate level.

Successful completion of the Master of
Marketing requires students to complete
units of study to the value of 150 credit points.
Students complete at least seven core units and
up to five elective units, depending on the study
option they choose.
Successful completion of the Master of
Integrated Marketing requires students
to complete units of study to the value of
200 credit points. Students complete units
equivalent to the Master of Marketing and
undertake either coursework or a combination
of coursework and research units.

Global Leadership Program
This program offers students a Master of
Marketing from Swinburne and a Master of
Science in Leadership from Northeastern
University in Boston, USA.
The program is delivered in Melbourne via a
combination of face-to-face and online delivery
modes. It offers a truly global perspective:
the leadership component is taught by
Northeastern academic staff, and students
have the opportunity to undertake part of the
program at Northeastern.
The marketing component offers students
specialist knowledge in all aspects of marketing
and is designed to teach students how to use
available resources to their advantage in a
changing environment.
The leadership component is designed to
assist today’s leaders and prepare emerging
leaders to meet the challenges of a continually
diversifying workforce, and is taught by
Northeastern academics.
Admission requirements
Applicants should have a recognised bachelor
degree with at least a credit average. Applicants
with a recognised bachelor degree with less
than a credit average are also encouraged to
apply and should submit a 500-word statement

Relevant business experience is preferred but

7. Fees
In 2014, tuition fees for Australian citizens
and permanent residents are based on
$2575 per 12.5 credit point unit of study.
The fee for the Master of Integrated Marketing
program is therefore $41,200 (including the
graduate certificate, the graduate diploma and
the Master of Marketing). The fee for the Master
of Marketing is $30,900 (including the graduate
certificate and the graduate diploma). The fee
for the graduate diploma is $20,600 (including
the graduate certificate); for the graduate
certificate it is $10,300.
In the event that a unit of study is derived from
another program the applicable fee will be that
of the other program. All fees are reviewed each
year and may increase without notice.
Global leadership program
The fee for the Master of Marketing Global
Leadership Program is $42,200.

FEE-HELP is a government-funded loan that
helps eligible fee-paying students to pay their
