8. What we do
6
BLUELINE
Our structural relining system, Blueline, is a cure in place pipe system that is installed by the pull in place
method. We make our liner out of a needle woven polyester fabric, which is customised at the Nuflow
manufacturing facilities on the Gold Coast. We can produce any required length, thickness, or diameter
ranging from 40mm to 1000mm.
We impregnate our liner with a highly specialised two part epoxy resin. The liner acts as a host and the
chemical reaction between the two resins provides the strength and other factors such as chemical
resistance. We then take a bladder, this can be made to any size or length, and we insert this through the
impregnated liner. This entire package is then pulled into a prearranged position in the pipe using our
CCTV equipment. The bladder is then inflated to a predetermined pressure and left for the resin to set.
With Nuflow’s specialist formulations we are able to reline any type of pipe including (but not limited to)
Earthenware, PVC, Concrete, HDPE, Steel, Galvanised, Cast, Copper, Stainless, Ductile Iron, Blue Brute, and
Asbestos. After setting, the internal bladder is removed leaving a pipe that is better than new in most ways.
The fact that all Nuflow products are Made in Australia and that we have the ability to custom make any size
liner for any pipe, allows Nuflow to be dynamic in our relining solutions. We have the ability to quickly solve
problems for our customers that range from the easier short and straight liners to the more difficult liners
including 45, 90 bends S and P traps, and junctions of any configuration.
REDLINE
Our pipe restoration system, Redline, is a cure in place pipe system that is installed through a blowing
process method. Redline completely coats the inside of galvanized or copper pipes from 12mm to 300mm in
diameter increasing water pressure and preventing future leaks and corrosion occurring.
The system to be repaired is drained, air-dried and inspected for integrity and spot repairs are made to
excessively worn joints and fittings. Once this process is completed the pipe system is blasted with a garnet
until the pipe is clear of any corrosion. The entire pipe system is then pressure tested to ensure it is safe
1 32

for Redline to be installed. Once this has been completed, Redline is blown into cleaned pipes and moved
through the whole pipe system utilising high pressure air, forming a safe, evenly coated permanent barrier
between pipe walls and the product in the pipe. The pipe system is then pressure tested again to ensure
the rehabilitation process has been successful. After the epoxy coating cures, valves and couplings are
refitted. A final leak test and inspection confirms lining integrity. Water quality and flow tests confirm system
functionality.
Pipes with a nominal bore can be cleaned back out to near full potential, then coated to reinstate its integrity,
extending the life of assets exponentially. Unlike conventional replace options that can often cause a whole
site to be shut down, this process can be managed to ensure minimum disruption to homes and business
operations. Certified safe for drinking water, Redline is most commonly utilised to coat water systems. The
process prevents future leaks, corrosion and contaminates leaching from the piping into water supplies.
RESINS
Nuflow have a wide range of resins that we use, allowing us to adapt to multiple circumstance. We have our
Standard Nuflow Resin which is ideally suited for sewer and stormwater lines allowing for chemical resistance
and flexibility.
We can provide a Potable Water Resin which is Australia/New Zealand 4020:2005 certified, ideal for spot repairs
in water mains. Acid Resistant Resin which is capable of dealing with Sulphuric Acid of up to 98% concentration
is perfect for trade waste relining. The latest addition, ideal for use in abattoirs and other processing plants, is the
High Temperature Resin, which will withstand temperatures of up to 140 degrees Celsius.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
With over 10 years of working within the trenchless industry, Nuflow has greatly endeavoured to be at the
forefront in designing many diverse techniques to reline, repair and renew all manner of pipe lines. We have
fixed in 3 hours what others deem as impossible, too difficult or simply not viable. We pride ourselves on
being excellent problem solvers dedicated to the highest quality of customer service possible. Our job and
our pleasure, is to make your life easier.

INNOVATION
In an infant industry, the tools required for our specialised services are not readily available and we employ
various engineers to carry out design work of the unique tools of our niche trade. In addition, we work with
our polymer engineer to continually improve and develop new resins.
Innovation is a top priority for Nuflow, we are a dynamic and forward thinking company who are always
researching and developing new technologies to improve our systems and industry. This gives us a
competitive edge against our competitors.
We currently have several new technologies at various stages within our Research and Development
program, with vision to continue growing this program over the coming years. We learn from our customers
what they need and look for ways and means of doing things that our competitors cannot.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE OF NUFLOW
• Pipe lining is inherently environmentally friendly.
• Nuflow’s pipe lining system is an eco-friendly solution that creates little waste for landfills or for recycling
and generates no carbon emissions during manufacturing.
• Revolutionary, green technologies such as epoxy lining have replaced temporary, out-dated pipe
replacement methods as an eco-friendly trend that efficiently and economically controls pollution.
NUFLOW HAS MINIMAL IMPACT ON THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
We own the license for this environmentally friendly technology for Australia, New Zealand and Asia. The
traditional method of excavate and replace has multiple effects on the surrounding environment. The use
of heavy construction equipment results in a higher noise level in the vicinity of the work area. In addition
construction work may lead to a higher noise pollution due to changing traffic conditions compared to the
‘normal’ situation. The environmental benefits our technologies are attractive to those cities that are ‘going
green’. Current research shows that CO2 emissions are reduced when trenchless methods are used versus
open-cut. This translates to a direct-cost benefit for companies that are facing carbon taxation.
NUFLOW OFFERS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE HARSH SOCIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS
OF ‘TRADITIONAL’ EXCAVATION
Trenchless pipe rehabilitation is environmentally friendly with no digging or disturbance to ecosystems.
CIPP is inherently environmentally friendly. An enhanced wet-out process helps us reduce waste during
installation. Less equipment on the job site means less emission. Epoxy pipe lining is an eco-friendly
solution that creates little waste for landfills or for recycling and generates no carbon emissions during
manufacturing. Lining prevents heavy metals from leaching into drinking water and stops leaks and breaks in
sanitary lines that pollute watersheds and seep pollution into groundwater. Nuflow’s lining system leaves the
smallest possible job site footprint and the shortest installation cycle of any small-diameter lining system in
the industry. Our process is less disruptive, better for the environment and a better value for customers.
15. 13
NUFLOW’S KEY ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE BENEFITS
ENERGY AND/ OR WATER EFFICIENCY RATING
• We are introducing new technologies to reduce water consumption. The latest addition is our steam curing

• Our concern for people and the environment encourages us to make better use of both raw materials and
energy. This keeps costs down and helps the company to reach its green targets and have an overall
positive impact on the environment.
FUEL EFFICIENCY
• Sourcing materials close to the supply chain reduces transport costs and environmental impacts
• Trenchless technology means no traffic delays, less pollution and less fuel consumption
• To assist in reducing our carbon footprint we schedule jobs geographically to reduce fuel consumption and
vehicle usage.
DURABILITY
• Epoxy pipe lining is a long-term solution for leaks and breaks, blockages, root intrusion, calcium build-up,
water damage, mould, sewer backups and increases flow capacity.
• Nuflow provide a limited Manufacturer’s warranty of 50 years.
• Testing engineers estimate the life expectancy of the epoxy is roughly 100 years.
RECYCLED CONTENT
• Epoxy pipe lining is an eco-friendly solution that creates no waste for landfills or for recycling.
All manufacturing and installation processes are managed in a way to ensure little waste
is produced.
TOXICITY
• Nuflow epoxy is certified safe under Australia/New Zealand approval 4020 for safe use in drinking
water pipes and is manufactured under a Quality Management System approved to ISO 9000:2008.
• End of life disposal/ability to be reused or recycled
