how did you use media technologies
in the construction and research
,planning and evaluation stages ?

2. Intro
• For are A2 media we did Ben Howard “keep
your head up “ this song was in the folk pop
genre and this slide share is going to be the
ways in witch we used the technologies in are
planning ,research, construction, and
evaluation .

3. Planning
• Before we have even started looking at
research we made a blog on the site
blogger in witch to gain store and show
are information that we gathered.
• The advantages to using the site is the
amount of content you can show
through this site, you are able to embed
your YouTube clips from your channel,
slide shares a power point programme,
and link it to all social networking site
and your Gmail accounts

4. • By having this wide range of content that you
can put on your blog and being able to link it
to all of your other accounts it made it more
easier to upload and share are product in a
educational term and to showcase are product
to are audiences

5. Research
• Whilst in are research stages we looked at
various web site in order to gain information
on are genre, artist ,and conventions of are
product .
• I felt that the biggest gain and use of
technologies was using social networks such
as twitter and Facebook to helps us
understand are, audiences , age range, sex
and likes in the folk pop genre.

6. • By doing this we discovered are age range that
was 15 to 27 year olds , are audience is a
mixed sex audiences, its not something that is
man or female dominated, and also the
convections of using nature as a main theme
throughout the genre came out really clear .

7. • We then used YouTube to look at similar
products in are genre witch helped us confirm
what we had already researched , but gave us
new thoughts and inspiration to how we
wanted are product to look like , YouTube is so
valuable in these early stages because of the
wide range of content that was available to us.

• We had now got to the stage in witch that we
had seen the convections and what are
products should look like, so we then moved
on to creating story board the soft ware we
decided to use was pixtor.

9. Pixtor
• Pixtor allowed us to make are story board with a
cartoon theme keeping in mind all the different
types of shots
• we would use also changeable settings and
characters to give it a really good looking feel to it
that was at a professional standard story bored .
• I enjoyed using this software because it was very
quick and detailed in the way that it made are
product come alive .

10. Camera
• The camera we were using for are production was
a Nikon d5100 a good DLSR with a 18to 50 mm
lens witch allowed us to have mid shots with the
character in focus and the background out of
focus and also vice a versa .
• This was a very good camera that had good
frames per second for filming and was also
portable for the different location's that we did
film in as many off them were on top off cliffs .

11. Cons
• The main issue I had with that camera and all
DLSR are two things .
• 1 zooming is manual and by hand witch can make
those zooms look very shaky and unprofessional .
• 2 with DLSR cameras they have very poor sound
witch makes it very difficult to sink your
performance shots to your sound of the track .
• Evan with detachable boom micks wind was
always an issue and a points became a burden

12. YouTube
• YouTube has always been about sharing your
videos with a wide audience and that is what
we did by using it , it made showing are video
a lot easier and gave us chances to have feed
back in the comments boxes below using parts
of test footage and actually footage we were
able to see what worked and didn't work with
are audiences opinion .

13. Facebook
• We also needed more ways of getting feed
back so by using Facebook a page in witch to
show the artists to the fans and to gain
various amounts of feedback that made this
feed back qualitative .

14. Web site wix
• Using Wix I created a free website to help promote and
make a bigger fan base for my artists, the reason why
Wixs has been so useful is the level of professional
quality standard to showcase my work , and again the
way of adapting and use all different forms of content
on the web site such as .
• Video
• Pictures
• Tour Dates
• Bios
• Using this made it very easy for me to showcase my
artist in the best possible light .

15. My photo shop cs6
• With my photo shop I used it to create my Digi
pack again this is another form of software that
has a very high quality to the pictures that it
creates
• Effects I used were things like Colour tint and
changing the lighting on my photos
• also using Black and white tool was used in a lot
of my test Digi packs to play around with the
effects and also using the mask tall to keep
original colour of the image at times .

16. Adobe premier pro 5
• Using adobe is one of the best soft wares to
get a high quality standard finish to are
product.

17. • The way we used this soft ware was in things such as
• Cutting from point to point with great ease
• Importing
• Photos
• Sound was very essay to use and we quickly were able to
upload and sync are track to are video .
• Importing movies witch would get uploaded on a daily
basses witch made it essay to see and use the footage we
got
• Also using effects on the programme such as the dissolve
effect that we used at the end scenes.
• by having access to this soft ware these effects look neat
and blended with are video and they stood out because
they blended into the story instead of because they looked
bad .

• Using prezi is an better designs than on
PowerPoint with the ability to use all forms of
media on it such as

• Pictures
• Links to websites
• By using this way of showing my work it essay to
show all content that is relevant to what im
saying again it’s a highly used as a professional
way of showing my answers

20. Slide share
• is a programme in witch you can embed
power points on line to show the use of text
with images instead of writing massive blog
posts .
• Its also useful because with slide shares
embed code I can up load it to prezi and my
blog

21. Concluding
• Most of the technologies is all to a high
professional standard by using that soft ware .
• And I felt that by using soft ware that I could
use all forms of mix media in it , I felt showed
the rich content in witch I devised my work
into .
