Public Program Choreographers week 2018

1. Dear colleagues and other interested people,
From March 3 to 7, the 7th edition of the International Choreographers Week takes place in
Tilburg. During the week an international group of young choreographers gathers around the
overall theme: In Between Dance Cultures. The five-day event includes workshops, dialogues,
work-sessions, presentations and discussions. During the program the choreographers
research how anthropological and socio-cultural aspects play a role in the creation of dance
and the way we perceive it.
We would like to invite you for the public program. It exists of a lecture and yoga meditation,
evening-sessions around “dramaturgical perspectives” under guidance of dance dramaturge
Guy Cools, performances by Katja Grässli and Bara Sigfúsdóttir and an open sharing by the
participating choreographers.

Saturday March 3, 19.30-21.00 (entree € 10,-)
Lecture: ‘Feminine symbols of compassion’, performance and Metta meditation
Location: Yogacentrum Tilburg, Dudokhof 79-01 Tilburg
Sunday March 4, 19.30-21.00 (free of charge)
Evening-session: A dramaturgical perspective
Location: Rode Salon, De NWE Vorst, Tilburg
Monday March 5, 19.30-21:00 – (free of charge)
Studiopresentation: Can’t Look Through Your Eyes - Katja Grässli
Location: White studio, De NWE Vorst, Willem II straat 49, Tilburg
Tuesday March 6, 19:30-21:00 (free of charge)
Evening-session: A dramaturgical perspective
Location: De Kunstmaan, Stedekestraat 72, Tilburg
Wednesday March 7, 17:00-18:30 (free of charge)
Final event: open sharing
Followed by
19:00-20:00 – diner (10 euro)
20:30-21:30 - Beïng - Bara Sigfúsdóttir (14 euro)
