Todaysmeet is a good tool for chat.

1. Todaysmeet http://www.todaysmeet.com
This is a good chatroom. We use it in the language classroom. When everybody in the class
has a laptop, this tool serves as a backchannel where students can chat with one another. You
can create your room for a private chat. Here are the steps:
1. Look at the red arrow. This is the place where you have to write ‘Todaysmeet’. See the
next screenshot
2. After typing ‘Todaysmeet’ press Ctrl Enter keys simultaneously to get the full url.
3. When you press Control & Enter keys together, the following screenshot appears.

2. 4. Give a name to your ‘room’ and select the life of the room as indicated by the red arrows.
You may give any name to your room.
5. Click on ‘Create your Room’ as shown below
6. When you have created your room, the following screen shot will appear
7. Write your name and then click on ‘Join’

3. 8. Write your message as shown in box 1 and then click on ‘Say’ as shown by box 2.
9. Your message will be published in the ‘Listen’ portion of ‘Todaysmeet’
10. Continue to write message in the ‘Talk’ box and click on ‘Say’ to publish them in the left
section called ‘Editor’ or ‘Listen’.

published in the Talk
Column.
If you want to keep the
room private between few
friends, then copy the url
and send email the link to
your friends. Only your
selected friends will know
the address for chat. The
room I have created is a
public room for the
teachers of Havelian. It
address is as follows:

If you want to chat here just
enter the url in the address
bar of your browser ,type
your name and join the
room.
12. This tool is used to teach students free-writing skill. There are many other uses o the tool
which I’ll keep sharing with the group CALL Havelian.
