Peace
The wind is now
a roaring, smashing
monster of destruction,
raking all man s work
from the valleys,
from the vales,
and sends them spinning,
broken flying -
but all of that is
not its core,
its center is in truth
eternal stillness
bright blue skies
and all you hear
are gentle whispers
far away
and unimportant

Theme:
Dr.Hartmann's poem PEACE teaches us
the way to attain peace. She explains that
wind when is energetic, it roars and
smashes and destructs everything on its
way. But the same wind when comes with
soft nature, it awakes the eternal
satisfaction in man. Similarly everything
has good and bad aspects, and to attain
peace one needs to focus on only good
aspects of life.

symbol of hardships. Its looks like an aggressive
monster who smashes each and everything that
comes in its way. when wind is in angry mood it
hang up men work but when we look at the

The poem “Peace” written by Dr.
Hartmann describes two natural
aspects of wind, storm and peace. In
first stanza the poet explains the cruel
role of wind. He says that in the form
of storm, wind destroys everything.
Her anger hits beautiful buildings,
trees and fields. It grounds the
wonderful works of man. It ruins
everything that comes in its way. After
destroying, it takes the broken pieces
along and spreads here and there.
8. In second stanza the poet describes the
sweet aspect of wind. Here the wind has
taken the form of a gentle breeze. The
poet says what he has described before is
not the reality. The reality of wind lies in
its gentleness and peace. It gives life to
buds, birds and humans. The bright sky
looks so blue and cloudless. There is
peace and harmony everywhere. Only the
mild and faint whisper of breeze can be
heard somewhere at a distance.
