We offer our hardwood levers, entrance, cabinet handles and blade pulls in a choice of
two hardwood species - American White Oak and American Black Walnut. These two
species can be purchased in either a raw or scandanavian oiled finish, shown below.
Our timber is supplied from environmentally-friendly AFS and PEFC certified sources. Other timber species
such as Blackbutt and Spotted Gum are available on request.

The Bullet+Stone Collection uses artisanal, hand-crafted concrete components, and a
variety of metal finishes, to highlight the beautiful contrast between raw and sumptuous
contemporary materials.
Concrete is not a homogeneous, uniform material & just like natural wood or stone, the finished concrete’s
appearance will always have aesthetic variations of shade, color, pattern and overall size

LIVING FINISHES

Designer Doorware’s living finishes are fabricated and coloured by hand; variations in size, shape, and colour
are a natural result of this process. Tooling marks and surface scratches are part of the character of the finished
pieces. Most products are sealed with wax, which over time is not impervious to moisture and corrosion or wear
and tear. The standard wax coating allows the finish to age naturally and develop its own character and morph
into the environment wearing off where it is used most exposing the natural material underneath, this will patina
with time and become a living finish. Due to the artisan, hand-made nature of these finishes, every product is
unique. While we aim for consistency, there will always be a degree of variance with living finishes. Do not use
methylated spirits on any products with a living finish, as it may strip away any aesthetic or protective coating.
PLATED, PVD & POWDER COATED FINISHES
SC, PC, SN, PN, SBC, BC, VBS, PCC, BKA, VBK
Do not use harsh solvents, abrasives cleaners or scourers on any Designer Doorware products as this may
affect the thickness of protective coatings such as plating and powder-coating. Also note that powder-coated
finishes may chip with rough handling, and therefore caution should be taken during maintenance and use.

CIRCULAR GEOMETRY IS EQUALLY
CAPTIVATING AND WELCOMING.
It’s nautical inspiration stems from the
use of porthole windows in Streamline
Modern and Art Deco architecture.
The Niki is also available with an ornate
step-down perimeter. When paired with
a satin finish, this decorative element
and Niki’s starburst reflection of light is
whole-heartedly indicative of Art Deco
inspired design.

WITH MASCULINE YET SOPHISTICATED PROPORTIONS, THE KAMEN
FAMILY DEMONSTRATES THAT VERSATILE ELEGANCE DOESN’T
ALWAYS NEED TO BE SOFT.
Inspired by the increasing popularity of high-end residential warehouse
conversions, the Kamen family fuses an industrial aesthetic with the
perception of delicate craftsmanship. With knurled detailing and refined
proportions, the family strays from the overbearing presence many of
it’s competitors exhibit. Instead, it opts for a projection that has a lower
profile, a slimmer handle and even slimmer stems.

SMOOTH SIMPLICITY WITH OLD-WORLD HOMAGE.
The Club’s aesthetic is a relaxed take on modern silhouettes.
Its adaptable, allowing it to be used on contemporary brutalist
projects when it’s dressed in a black finish while equally able
of complimenting various 20th century inspired interiors
when adorned in a brass or nickel finish. In non-satin finishes
the Club can also be complimented by the Niki family.

MONTANA’S SOFT TRANSITIONS AND SHARP ELEVATIONS CULMINATE IN ALIGHT, MINIMAL,
AND THOUGHFULLY HUMBLE DESIGN.
Minimalism, mid-century modern interiors, and scandanavian designed furniture became increasingly
popular in the mid-20th century, and now have widespread influence over contemporary interiors.
The almost clinical ideal of simplicity portrayed in interiors today has lead many designers to integrate
handles into joinery and furniture. This focus on the bare minimum, the removal of clutter and
complexity from our daily lives, was what inspired the Montana range.

6. F L I N D E R S
THE FLINDERS RANGE IS SIMPLE, MODERN AND MINIMAL.
Steel tubing was first explored in furniture design in the mid 1920s at the Bauhaus by Marcel Breuer whom was
inspired by the slimness of his bicycle’s light weighted frame. The use of cylindrical and tube shapes with metal
finishes adds to contemporary interiors a such refined softness. The Flinders range is a simple, modern and
minimal product offering that compliments the tubular design language from the mid 1920’s.
