8.2013 - Freelance, IT projects and solutions for customers.

8.2009 – 6.2013 IWS Industrielle Wägesysteme AG, Application engineer, Tester,
Supporter for SysTec Weighing terminals. As a main task I programmed
and improved industrial control systems using RTC (real time C) and
RTP (real time Pascal). The customized applications and control
systems were implemented on ARM based architectures to meet
custom-specific needs. For a lot of these control systems I programmed
a management solution written in Delphi for Microsoft Windows. For all
these networked and interacting customised solutions I also did testing
and all upcoming customer support.
10.2007- 6.2009Schindler Aufzüge AG, Tool Supporter in a small team I was
responsible for 17 Windows and 2 Linux-based servers, which were
used by approx. 100 users. Core tasks were support and improvement
of a multi site environment consisting more than an dozen servers
spread over 4 continents using IBM Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest.
Very important was the real time synchronizing of these servers with
two QualityCenter instances. User support and administering the Red
Hat Enterprise-server on OS-level (Linux) and improving the existing
shell and perl scripts were part of our daily business.
2.2002 – 9.2007 Swisscom IT Services AG Luzern, system specialist / technical
project leader responsible for administration, support and
improvement of an Environment with 30 servers running SUN Solaris
for telecom applications as a System Engineer II. I was part of a two-
man team which did a major re-engineering of the whole server
environment. Ticket-based 3rd
level support and roll-out of new
software releases were also important daily tasks.
After a change of engineering department I took conceptional and
engineering responsibilities as a technical project leader on several
major outsourcing projects and coordinated the realization of server
environments with different architectures and operating systems for
multiple national and international customers.
3.2000 - 1.2002 IHA·GFM Hergiswil (NW), application engineer and 3rd
level supporter.
Maintaining, optimizing and improving customized applications used in
marketing and statistical market analysis using the program language
C and MS VisualBasic for MS SQL-Server.

3. 3.1997 - 2.2000 DCL Data Center AG Luzern, Kriens (LU), Administrator and
application engineer (program language C) , system and database
administrator for Oracle databases running on SUN sparc-Server with
Sun Solaris.
Improvement and customizing of applications in a multiple server
environment were the most important tasks in this job. I did also
maintain MS Office Installations and did teach Employees in using UNIX
and SQL.
5.1992 - 2.1997 Softronic AG, Neuheim (ZG), programmer and 3rd
level supporter.
I was working on several projects including banking applications for
international customers.
On one project I was the key developer for a cryptographical software
and its digital key management. The program language was C for MS-
DOS / MS-Windows 3.11.
12.1987 – 4.1992 Bosshard AG, Steinhausen (ZG), Programmer
I worked in a project realizing an automated warehouse and sales
management. Program language was 'Mantis' on a DEC series 6000
machine with a VAX operating system.
11.1986 – 8.1987 Interdigit AG, Luzern, Programmer
I helped realizing a project for hospitals, in which the key feature was
an all-automated handling of medical lab tasks included all from
analyzing bio samples up to the internal and external billing of the
services. Program language was C on a HP-Unix series 9000-500
machine.
