  1. Pondicherry vs Mizoram, Round 4 Ranji Trophy 2018-19 The Ranji Trophy is the premier domestic cricket tournament in India and is known for producing some of the finest cricketers in the country. The 2018-19 season of the Ranji Trophy saw a match between Pondicherry and Mizoram in the fourth round of the tournament. The match took place from November 28 to December 1, 2018, at the CAP Siechem Ground in Pondicherry. DAY 1: Toss Time: Mizoram wins the toss. The match started with Mizoram winning the toss and electing to bat first. However, they got off to a poor start, losing their first wicket for just 11 runs. Pondicherry started their innings strongly, with Thalaivan Sargunam and Vikneshwaran Marimuthu putting on a quick partnership of 56 runs in just 7 overs. Mizoram fought back with quick wickets, leaving Puducherry at 163/3 at the end of the day's play. Vikneshwaran Marimuthu top-scored with 50 runs, while Michael Lalremkima was the pick of the Mizoram bowlers, picking up two wickets. However, the Puducherry bowlers did not let up and took the remaining two wickets quickly to bundle out Mizoram for just 45 runs in 29.3 overs Pankaj Singh was the pick of the two wickets, giving Pondicherry a comprehensive victory by an innings and 238 runs. This was a dominant performance by Pondicherry. Rohit Damodaran captain of the Pondicherry team, lead the bowlers were outstanding, picking up wickets at regular intervals and not allowing the Mizoram batsmen to settle down. The batsmen were equally impressive, with Vikneshwaran Marimuthu and Fabid Ahmed scoring centuries to give their team a massive lead. Overall, this match was a testament to the quality of cricket played in the Ranji Trophy.
