1. Superbob Bob Kenner is a SuperHero. He lives in Peckham. This is the first time he has granted an interview. The style is in an interveiw/mocumentary, which is actually the style we want to use. The narrative is being told through the interview of the character. This is something we can use when showing the interviews, overlaying images on what they are saying to show it. The audience understand the narrative because its basically being narrated by this interview. The characters play a big part of moving the narrative along because its based on them. We would do the same technique because our product would be of the same stlye.
2. The Boot Sale A man pitches up at a car boot sale, but refuses to sell anything. It’s set outside in a car boot sale The main character looks like what we are looking for, with the beard and long hair. Its lighter in flash backs suggesting a happier time for him. Props include old junk, obviously trying to sell it.
3. Elevator music Music and culture clash inside an elevator. The camera is positioned eye level with all the characters to show that they all have equal power over the music. Close ups are used when a particular character gains slight more power in the situation, but always equalises. The camera is very still, which creates the idea of tension in the film.
4. Grizli Fries Man Vs Mild Grizli Fries is a VERY BRAVE MAN!!! Really! He travels the remote corners of the world, fights wild animals with his bare hands, tackles backward savages...Stuff like that. It’s a comedy/documentary. You know this from the way its edited and the mise en scene.Because its only him holding a camera at him describing what's happening, we know it’s a documentary. Also because he’s in a typical area for where these are usually filmed we instantly know what style its in. The audiences expectations on the genre are followed because for the comedy element its very stereotypical of a documentary.
5. Mixtape Ben (13) makes a mixtape to try and woo the girl next door, Lily, the girl of his dreams. Different editing techniques have been used in this film to develop meaning. The different techniques it uses such as shot-reverse-shot, 180dgree rule and even match on action has been used. Sound is important in this short as well because of the whole mixtape idea and the use of inter-diagetic sound.
6. Sign Language Meet Ben - he holds a sign for a living, and he loves his job more than almost anything. But today is his last day The clip is narrated by the main guy, which brings the story along. He is telling us his daily routine, which is similar to the idea we have about our interviews.
